To be honest, I do sort of get it as he is quite charming in an Alsatian puppy with enormous feet sort of way, always smiling, slightly hapless, clumsy, but his lack of consistency is far too readily overlooked

Thankfully we are not the same weak team we were last year, despite now being in a lower league.

That's a very poor return for a player of his purported quality. People forgive his utter lack of product far too easily IMHO. The only thing we will be watching is him walk away for free.

Better to see those results, like Liverpool away, as free hits and retain the rigidity in play style, so every person knows the positions, knows their jobs, keeps it fluid due to this familiarity I reckon. Chopping and changing leads to confusion and a lack of fluidity in our play. An outlier should define anything.
