I think the main issue is how quickly we’ve gone from wanting Potter and just settling for the first readily available alternative without looking at anyone else either in this country or abroad. Have we only spoken to Potter, Cooper and Coberan? Do we just dismiss anyone who hasn’t managed in this country? Sadly but not surprising I think the answer is yes on both questions.

He had a better record before joining us. Finished 8th and got to a league cup final which Southampton should of won the previous season as well as having decent experience in France.

The Cooper appointment smacks of planning for the championship in 2 seasons time.

Would of liked us to go for a foreign option. Plenty available. Instead of the box ticking previous premiership experience we’re going with. Whose win rate is less than 30% in the pl.

Corberan does have experience in the premiership all be it as assistant to Bielsa at Leeds. He’s done well with limited funding which I think we’ll be in the same situation. I also don’t think Potter is as good as what he or the club think he is.

Prob in a minority but I’d rather have Corberan.

Plenty of decent foreign managers readily available but we won’t of even considered them.
