  1. Announce Sarri or Corberan FFS!
  2. Cooper is piss though.
  3. Just checked this thread for the first time today and genuinely worried about all the talk of cooper. Have his odds fallen? Looking likely? not budged from my opinion of Coberan or Sarri being the best realistic picks of who’s been linked.
  4. No gag reflex
  5. The guy is a legend. We will definitely be entertained if it is him. Whilst I still think Corberan would be the right appointment, Sarri is probably second on the list for me of names linked.
  6. Very much doubt it will be Sarri, but does link with the comment earlier in the thread about the target turning us down a few weeks ago and being a pleasant surprise. It would actually be a pleasant surprise imo. The blokes got character! But I’d see it as highly unlikely! Unless we are just ignoring PSR.
  7. Yes, talks underway with benson and hedges and a deal lined up with a foreign car giant for the new shirt sponsor - that’ll be the Daewoo!
  8. King power range is absolute fire. Bought one of everything. particularly buzzing about the Cuban shirt, I’ll be knee deep in it on me holibobs. Me mams made up with the Tennis dress and crop top, she’s also a big fan of the handbag tbf.
  9. Nobody was happy with Puel. The football was dire mate. Rodgers last 2 years made everything that came before it irrelevant. He is hated by the fans. So that’s a miss. His stubbornness and poor management saw us fall short. and Enzo… you only have to look at the posts mate, fan base was torn. We stuck with him because we were grinding out results, but he squandered a huge lead due to his idea of what football has to be. We won the league which was great, but genuine I didn’t find last season that enjoyable. Pissing around at the back, slowing everything down and allowing the opposition to get back, to then be unable to break them down. It was dreadful. And we limped over the line and into the automatic spots because of Vardy and his meeting, also the players going against the managers instructions and scoring goals on the counter. I couldn’t be happier that he’s gone. both Rodgers and Maresca criticised the fans. That for me, there’s no coming back from.
  10. I think everyone did though right?😂
  11. I think renewing Vesty is a silly move tbh. we have Faes and Coady who can start. Souttar and Nelson got back up. We are cash strapped. Don’t pay tie an aging player down for a few more years on big money, silly decision imo.
  12. Absolutely. Puel was just straight up awful. Underachieved under Rodgers - didn’t deserve to win the fa cup. Bottled champions league TWICE. And Maresca was indeed a miss. Wrong manager, wrong time. All three think that the team with the most possession wins the game.
  13. Sousa, Sven, Shakespeare, Puel, Rodgers, Smith, Maresca. Especially when you factor in what other managers were available and realistic at those times. More misses than hits.
  14. Absolutely not. If they’d have already announced Carlos Corberan they’d have started on the road to redemption…
  15. I’m with you. Corberan won’t be demanding x amount of money to buy this name and that name. I feel the more fashionable/famous names would, and I think our board would give in despite it not being right for the club. Where as under Corberan I can see us signing some right unknown cheap gems like we did the last time we went up and the season after. I’d much rather be pleasantly surprised but some unknowns we’ve bought for pennies than go down having blown money we can’t afford.
  16. I really do hope that the club think logically about this appointment and don’t go the “name” route. The links to RVN are worrying tbh. He hasn’t really done much as a manager. The success he had in Holland is kind of expected given how big the club are in that league, and the contrast of ability from the top few to the rest. He fell out with everyone, player revolt etc. This is not what we need. Next season is going to be really tough, and we all need to be United and together. For that reason, I really do hope it’s Corberan.
  17. He is out of contact and free to sign for a new club on/ after July 1st. Are you still saying avoid at all costs given that vital bit of info? Given that we are broke and desperate to get some bodies in and on the cheap, we could do worse. Doubt his wage demands will be high.
  18. This lad on a free when his contact expires is a no brainier really. Yes he’s older than I would like, but a 2 year deal on a free is not much of a gamble.
  19. Far too expensive, massive wages, no sell on value. Next!…
  20. Please don’t be Potter or Cuesta!
  21. You are entitled to have a different opinion to me, as I am you. What can’t be denied is the amount of goals Mads cost us particularly towards the end of the season. I was calling for him to be dropped at one point. Thats not to say he’s not a good keeper, he is, but I think he will have a mare next season.
  22. Agreed. I would take 30m for Mads and Kasper on a free all day long. Simply because I think Kasper is the better choice in adversity and would be an ideal candidate for a dogfight with “his club”.
  23. Thank you mate. The reason I could see Winks happening is because he was Marescas key man in the system. He’s been open about it all be built around Winks as the foundation, and full of praise all season. I also can see Winks being unhappy now Enzo has gone and being open to a move, and this would be his big chance of moving to a big club and reigniting his England career that he has talked about. KDH is a funny one. Similarly to Winks really. It also wouldn’t surprise me if there was some weird unwritten agreement with Chelsea that they but KDH for x amount as part of the Enzo deal because we need cash. Im with you on Fatawu, I just think Chelsea had an abundance of wide players and unless they move a load on, Abdul wouldn’t get a look in. He doesn’t strike me as a player who would be happy to go and sit on the bench for a payday at this point in his career. I do however think that next summer he may well be off, and Chelsea won’t be out of the question at that point as I imagine a lot of their overpaid stars like Sterling will have gone/going at that point.
  24. Tony Pulis Alan Pardew Paul Ince Gary Neville please let me stop😂
  25. For clarity, I absolutely do not want Steve Cooper to be our manager, and he would be well down my list of realistic appointments. However, there would be much more depressing… scott parker frank lampard steven gerrard sam allardyce roy hodgeson steve bruce brendan Rodgers should I go on?
