  1. Actually glad he cleared that up about the laugh with Haaland.

Remember being absolutely fuming because the camera panned to him having a laugh with him and we were being pumped at the time.

Feels mad after the last few years of attitudes that I'd be mad at the goat for that.

  2. I think there's a distinction between fans, glory supporters and those types who go for a day out or just want to see Premier League players.

We did genuinely have fans all over the Midlands to the point there was threads on Forest and Coventry forums losing their marbles about it. That wouldn't happen now. I think it's difficult to call someone who only takes an interest when you're in the Premier League a "fan".

That's just evidently not true is it, we had 23k season ticket holders in 14/15 and then the renewal rate was something stupid like 99.5%.

I can't help but feel aggrieved that I went to games on my own quite a lot as we struggled at bottom of Championship then these fans came out of nowhere when I didn't have a season ticket.

I've been able to get my season ticket back because of the decline and I can obviously see why so many didn't renew. You can't really get worse than the effort of the last few years.

But you can't help but feel like there's more attachment to the club when you're surrounded by fans who are there at the lowest. I'm distraught at what's happened but if there is to be any positives then I hope it's that many others like me are able to go every week again.

Fed up with Football being played out in the courtroom, too many charges, lawsuits etc. Bored of it all.

It's genuinely amazed me how since PSR started with points deductions just how happy they are to decide so much off the field.

Anything that takes the outcome away from what happens on the pitch should be the absolute last resort. You are talking about people's lives, all that travelling and expense we all sacrifice and they are happily pitching for -20 deductions as punishments.

It just shows how far gone it all is.

Plus Daka got two seasons in the second division. He managed about 12 goals in 60 apps. 60! And a good chunk of them were pens too!

I'm not as in the camp of him being a write off. He just needed to move years ago. Some of that's on him because he chose wages over career progression but the club were never going to get a fee worthy enough of cutting their losses either.

I think he'll do well where he goes next. I know that's not a popular opinion. It couldn't have really been a worse signing for us than he turned out, given what he was brought in to do for European level.

Did he manage to scrape together better stats than Akimbiyi in the end?

When anyone talks about Akinbiyi, they mean the second season Akinbiyi that didn't score for about 30 games. In his first season he got 10 goals if I remember right. You'd be paying a fair amount for a forward who can do that in the Premier League now.

At the time he become a joke and his confidence was on the floor as he got labelled worst Premier League striker ever. There's been many worse than him since.

    Attendance wont reflect that.

Lots will have renewed as to not lose points etc, doubt that many will go to games.

Think it will be 26/27k early on and soon be around 20k for most games.

32k for the trophy lift 👀

Even the Foxes Trust gets a mention for contributing to 'division' and that statements made would 'negatively impact poor mental health'.

Absolutely beyond belief what tit concluded that.

It's gaslighting behaviour. It's how they've operated the whole time they've been here.

Shame they're not so bothered about Top and Rudkin's impact on our mental health.

Best bit of social media in recent times was when we signed the non Welsh Aaron Ramsey and that lad from Stoke was showing him round the stadium and gave him time to pause for reflection and to soak it all in when he walked out the tunnel. It's not the ****ing San Siro ffs

I was watching our pathetic away display at Millwall, unfortunately accompanied by Millwall commentary and the Alan Young-esque co commentator without a hint of irony said "I'm surprised Aaron Ramsay is playing, he was always injured at Cardiff".

He does work incredibly hard at hiding behind opposition players when we're in possession to be fair. Can't be easy making sure you are literally never in a position to receive the ball from a teammate or do anything useful with it.

Consistently shit on and off the pitch for years - the perfect captain for us.

You can't talk about hiding behind anything. You're called guest.

  11. He won't even be here next season.

If you think he's this terrible human who drinks loads and hates us all then I don't think him saying "I'll stay" outside the ground to a bunch of Lidl shoppers in jogging bottoms is exactly waterproof.

King Power Out my arse we are stuck with them forever. Decades of misery

You have to question what he's getting out of it at this stage. We keep hearing about this "saving face" mentality that comes from Thai culture but every time he shows his face he's being humiliated.

What role does the independent regulator have in all of this? Is it just before you buy a club that you are judged on being fit and proper?

There's no way you can tank a club like this and be deemed fit to run it. It's like organised decline.

The worst run club in the country continue to be the worst run club in the country.

From day one next season it should be protests against the ownership. Every single game until they're gone. Even friendlies.

Yet still we have fans who think it's King Power who "gave us" our title win and FA Cup.

If you're one of the people who think that, or even just think it all just turned bad because Vichai died then you really need to look not just at the decline but the utter contempt in which our owner treats the club with.

If they ever cared, you'd see signs of it now. They never have. One big vanity project that they were lucky to have great staff save from destruction after about 2 years.

Surely its straightforward about the levels we need to play.

    • Maybe a national league side
    • One on a tour somewhere (Austria I believe?)
    • Then a couple of league 2 sides (ideally ones that have just be relegated from League 1)
    • Then a Championship side

Not about glamour its about getting the prep right.

Even this we have got horrendously wrong for years and it was yet another crack starting to show in the running of the club.

We only just got away with the complete shit show of Top trying to flaunt us around Thailand after a relegation. Did we end up with one game played because they went in the middle of a storm?

Absolutely everything has always been about showing the King Power family off.

When he announced that he’ll stay on its for his own ego trip, deep down he knows that’s his level so he’ll be the main man.

Won’t be long before the swagger comes back and he thinks he’s Paolo Maldini

He said that and then quickly backtracked in his next interview a couple of days later when asked about it. Said that these things often get taken out your hands.

Apparently we get 10k a day for each player at the world cup. So hopefully that means we get the lovely money for him and Ghana last till June 30th.

Between him, Fatawu and Souttar we might cover Jannik's wages for the duration of the world cup.

You're joking aren't you? They're still paying off Susan Whelan's £870,000 buffet bill.

These players should not forget the supporters are their bread and butter. Distance yourself from the fans and turn them against you and you are on a slippery slope. The majority of last season’s team did little to endear themselves either in their effort, their displays or their arrogant attitude towards the club and its supporters.
I’ve been a supporter for 70 years and have never known it as bad as last season and there have been some pretty lean times. The difference is those players gave their all on the pitch, the problem is they weren’t very good but nobody could criticise their commitment. The same could not be said about this current crop. You only had to observe the body language during and after the match. Things need to change.

    Well said

  19. How do we expect our away tickets to sell next season and what will the allocations be like?

I know some clubs like Notts County can give much bigger allocations in the cup but will we get these in the League next season?

You think they're comparable to us?

Bristol City have spent 5 seasons in the top division in their history and have won a grand total of ZERO major honours. In the last 100 years the highest level trophy they've won is League 1/Division 3 and they've not been to a single final.

Compare that with us, we've won the Premier League, 8 Championships, the FA Cup, 3 League Cups and 2 Charity Shields. We've also been to 10 finals.

We're one of 14 clubs to have won everything in English football and since the turn of the millennium are the 6th most successful side in England.

I think a lot of people on here just like to degrade us. They have plenty of ammo at the minute but it's always been there. It's in part why when shit has hit the fan, we haven't reacted like other clubs our size would have done.

I've used the word gaslighting a lot because the achievements have allowed this "entitled" tag to be branded from the top down in the club. Top referring to us as a small midlands team when he come in.

When in reality I don't know any fan who wouldn't have been content with us battling relegation in Premier League. Even that would have been a hell of a drop off. But it's not hard to see how the most unprecedented decline in history has happened.

It's been enabled by this self deprecation that's always existed at Leicester. Even before the Premier League win, when we were had exactly the same sort of crowds as Forest and Derby and better recent history we still seemed to have far more of our own put us down. Id never want us to be as deluded as Forest fans are about their status, but if you were to go on their forums any time in last 20 years and give them shit they'd defend their team to the extreme. We just have a bunch of fans who join in if anyone does similar on here.

Not to join on the pile on, but I also think you've misread that one to be fair.

The last paragraph is following on from his points in the 3rd and feels to be pretty clearly talking about the culture of the players and staff at the club, comparing what it has been recently to what it was in the early-mid 2010's.

And this is from someone who doesn't hold King in the god like status that a lot of lads my age do haha.

I reiterate I don't think King was saying the fans are this and that, it just echoes that feeling I get from those within the club that we should be doing more as fans. Again, I don't think King is directly saying that but there's been too much of these rallying calls for us to get on side without giving us anything to get behind.
