To be fair we should be doing all we can to stop Southampton being involved in top flight football. Very dull, uninteresting football club whereas Leeds have something about them.

Not sure that's how it works mate

Contract up next summer so not inconceivable he forces our hand but i'd hope he views our decline as the opportunity he's not yet had to finally make it here.

Yeah I think in recent times we should have done way more with the academy lads but you can almost be at a higher level than what you're producing at times.

There's no excuses now. We are reliant on it. We're quite fortunate that a lot of them are at a level where I think they'll do well for us next season.

Anybody remotely hoping for some form of change with King Power are in denial, nothing changes with Aiyawatt and Rudkin at the helm.

Think we are hoping for something in spite of them. Like the Enzo season. Even though that wasn't without the cracks showing from above.

You just know the KPFC lot are going to be all told you so if we shithouse a League One Promotion. They'll probably want an open top bus.

  4. Even when he's finally forced out he will release an AI written statement that just reels off all the achievements while King Power was here.

Your support has always been unwavering though. Remember that.

Now trefoil logo and we have a winner haha

Not getting any trefoil range at all since having Adidas is such a disappointment. I think just about every other club has.

Still, least we have a Fatawu long distance shot range.

The club is in crisis and everybody has gone on holiday. It truly is laughable how bad this regime is. If there is any crumb of comfort to the pain we are feeling right now, is that they won't be here forever and they will either run out of cash or interest or even more likely that their hand will be forced by administration. Every day brings us closer to the end.

Top will put up £20m odd and announce it to the world like he's god.

Chesterfield forum seem to unanimously agree Braybrooke is class and too good for the level. They also however seem to think he isn’t gonna stick around here.

How would they know where he's going to go?

If he's deemed good enough, he'll be one that stays. Not a chance we are accepting £250,000 for him. Isn't worth it to us even in our predicament.

Wonder if they will dish out a load of tickets to local football clubs etc to fill it up a bit

It really pissed me off when they scrapped my Student Season Ticket when I was way outside of Leicester but then gave free tickets away at DMU.

You're probably right though. They won't care people have paid £25 for this. The thought of it being so empty is more embarrassing.

  9. They still look better than we did but the way some West Ham players are casually strolling around reminds me so much of our lot.

There's no way you'd get this kind of lack of intensity in a relegation threatened side 20 years ago. Can't help but feel like too many players just don't give enough of a shit now.

Thing is, even a 50% cut on 40k is still a 20k salary, which is astronomical for the third tier. Two players on that much would surpass the base level TV deal on their own. TWO. We can't afford to have even one player on more than 10k in my opinion, and they would have to be a talisman to justify it. That's how far up shit creek we are financially.

The numbers from matchday revenue are going to become massively more important without TV money. We made £20 million this season just gone, and that's likely to be lower next time around with less demand for hospitality and more general sale tickets. Season tickets are the only guaranteed income and 22k sold would bring in around £11 million.

At the last count our wage bill was supposedly around £45 million per season. The majority of that is condensed into 10-12 high earners, some of which will be off the books (Ricardo, Ayew, Daka, Lascelles were all reportedly on £30k or more per week and Lascelles is the only one we're likely to even consider extending). But there are plenty left who are still in contract.

So yeah, a fire sale of the likes of Choudhury, Vestergaard, Skipp, Souttar, Fatawu, Winks, Faes - ideally with some hefty transfer fees for one or two - is the only way we're complying with the rules in League One - which have tightened overnight with the recent vote. Loans with wage cover or an obligation will not be enough. As it is we likely need to halve our wage bill to have any hope in hell of meeting the 65% cap and avoiding sanctions. Personally, I can't see a situation where we don't end up with some sort of fresh points deduction or transfer embargo being imposed on us, if not next season then the one after if we don't go straight back up.

Edit - re: Fatawu, he's reportedly not one of our high earners, but I've included him as despite how shit he's been for the past six months, he's still one of the only members of this sorry lot who we could possibly get a sizeable transfer fee for.

I think we should just focus on getting money in to keep up with running costs and then if we get sanctions, we get sanctions.

Id rather us spend a bit and feel like a club going in the right direction for the players rather than the stagnation under Marti with a looming deduction. You're basically better off going what Forest did in the Premier League and having a stronger team alongside a deduction. Not signing anyone and letting everyone know we weren't going to be any better was the start of the rot for us as a club.

The fans are always there. The club colours only come out when winning. We are in hide mode at min. Its like in the north part of county. Forest fans have appeared in full bloom. They will go back to sleep after a Vitor Pereira pre season. By all accounts Wolves were in terrible shape fitness wise in August.

The Cov colours will be too after they get pummelled most weeks.

There was a whole thread on LTLF forum with over 100 pages about how many Leicester shirts you see in Nottingham around 2021.

It always comes round. I'd be less bothered about Forest and Coventry having their era of "success" if ours wasn't such a fall off.

I love the idea of an area like Hinckley "falling" to Coventry like they're ****ing Vikings or something. I think one look at Hinckley will tell you it "fallen" a long time ago.

I've always said that the only way we get rid of K*nt Top,KP and hopefully Rudkin is when dictated by the finances.  Not Protests, Boycotts or plane banners, (they don't care a 'single jot' about the fans and chats for them to fvck off falls on deaf ears ) but  actually when the club hits a point and is forced into administration.

The incompetent bell3nds lack the ability to learn and adapt, or they are just to arrogant to think there are real problems and that they are causing them. They just jump from one catastrophe to the next catastrophe.

From the PR scripted Interview he's given to the horrendous mess we are in now under his leadership, it's pretty obvious that K*nt Top is as thick as pig sh1t, but what I don't get is, surely he can see that if he puts the club up for sale now he will get "X" amount,  but if he chooses to continue down the current path administration awaits, and after the asset stipping and all the other stuff to pay off people (sorry for the over simplification, as I no knowledge or real interest in the subject of administration) he will end up far worse off...or am I missing something here?

Same can be said for Chansiri. The reason they gave was in Thai culture to "quit" is so shameful that Administration, and having the club forcibly taken from you is genuinely a better option.

    Some saving face that is.

    I never understood this

why would someone retire at 58 just because they've got a few bob in the bank? There is such thing as purpose and passion.

Rudkins been in football all his life, Leicester is his life, it’s his passion.

Doesn't matter if he’s useless at his passion, it’s all he’s known. He’s going through an awkwardly torrid time in his passion because of his own failings, disassociating and disconnecting himself from the fan base because of them failings, but as far as he’s concerned, the main person, the owner Top, doesn’t want too get rid of him, so in Rudkins eyes, why should he leave?

he’s aware of the fan’s vitriol towards him, the protest, he probably just wants too put it all right, but in classic Rudkin fashion, he’s ballsing it all up and continuing too isolate himself playing hide and seek with everyone.

Rudkin is someone that will need too be sacked, he won’t do the right thing and step down because he doesn’t see things that way

If you cared about your passion that much and you knew you were nothing more than a P.E teacher in an ill fitting suit, you'd leave.

At the minute not regretting  not rewarding my ST,it's been almost two weeks since season has ended, and we haven't even officially announced Gary rowett won't be staying on. Can't even do that ffs! Shows you bad the club is being ran!good luck to all that renewed because it's about to get alot worse!,especially with KP still here, you defo wont be getting your monies worth, just ripped off they don't care!!!

You're spot on with everything you say but I still can't bring myself to not care. I don't think you can either or you wouldn't be on here. I think a lot of us are going through this at the minute with the club but it was worst thing I did getting rid of my season ticket.

Having said all that I don't doubt I'll probably be regretting it 2 games in.

So this pretty much shuts down the idea of Seagrave being sold due to it costing too much?

Wasn't that suggestion purely coming from a cash perspective?

Using it less frequently and using Belvoir Drive was a much more realistic possibility than the selling to Forest rumour. Which was clearly just spread by some Forest fan anyway.

It is a bit ironic how the club insisted on going with adidas (I think Puma's tender even offered more money? Could be misremembering) because they saw adidas as a "prestige brand", only to end up with two ultra-dodgy (to say the least) front-of-shirt sponsors from ultra-dodgy industries

It just yet again shows there is no alignment with everyone at the club.

Doing what they did with BC Game just shows how morally bankrupt they are. It hasn't done a thing to improve any finances either. In return they've just made fans who've followed the club all their lives feel further detached.

The 90s shirts feel proper Leicester even though the fa cup, premier league win ones should be more iconic

Plastering THAILAND over the FA Cup one kind of lessens it.

Wonder if that "sponsor" would get the same meh reaction of they tried to push it on us now.
