  1. Cooper was saying he hoped another signing was “very close”. But then again, very close means nothing with us 😂
  2. Reflecting on last night, depending on what additions we can get, and how many points we get deducted, we stand a chance of surviving. We’ve got quality in attack, Fatawu, Mavadidi and Bounanotte will cause teams problems, especially if we get the trigger pressing right and can just tidy up our game in that area of the pitch. At times in the second half, we looked pretty good, and managed to create space behind spurs. I was very pleased overall and it’s certainly given me optimism going forward. I think there’s enough in this team to stay up. We will cause teams problems in transition which is where we are at our best.
  3. Our best player last night. Typical.
  4. So tough for such a successful team.
  5. First half we were far too passive. Sat off Spuds and allowed them to play, you do that against anyone on this league and you’ll be punished. Second half was a combination of them crushing in third gear, and we pressed higher up the pitch on the second half, and managed to stop Maddison and Son having the run of the KP. When we break the likes we’re a threat, we’ve got pace and some quality that can hurt teams, we just need a bit more self belief. Defensively it was generally okay, I actually thought Victor was poor, if spurs had a better right sided player we probably would have been in trouble, he lets people run in behind him far too easily. A good hearty second half performance wasn’t a decent point on the end, something to build on!
  6. Hahaha. **** me we’re getting ripped to shreds.
  7. Would take this all day long.
  8. I do think that’s something Skipp, the reason I think things he’s fairly quick and appeared relatively strong on the ball. He just probably hasn’t been asked to play this way. He doesn’t have the assists or goals however, but I think he will give us a bit of drive from the middle, and with the likes of Mavs, Abdul and Facundo we will have the finesse to complement this. (I hope) I think it will turn out to be a fairly clever signing long term.
  9. I think we’ve got to just forget the KDH money for a second. This isn’t a replacement in any way, this is an addition to what is a worrying midfield! Skipp is viewed as a CDM, which is true, but my mate said he’s pretty quick, over the ground. He’s undoubtedly been purchased to ass much needed energy to the CM, it simply isn’t good enough otherwise, we can’t play a midfield three with the profiles we currently have, but I think Skipp can play that position. He is actually pretty nippy, I think he’s capable of those Kante like bursts from midfield to help progress through the middle of the park. We’re clearly still looking to prioritise a mother AM and a number 9, imagine if we lost one of Winks and Ndidi……. I can’t imagine what we would do? I think long term this is a good signing, nothing sexy about him, he’s an industrial player. Imagine the Mr. Reliable we need.
  10. Sub 30 points? Are you suggesting you think it’s possible we get deducted 30 points????
  11. We do need him though. If you look at that midfield it’s horrendously short of quality. Winks is the only reliable player we have. There’s genuine question marks of Ndidi, Hamza isn’t premier quality, and Soumare just needs to leave. So when you review the CM position we’re actually desperate for a reinforcement. I think that’s been abundantly clear in the pre season with how poor we’ve looked in the centre of the park. We will still be looking for a number 9 and a left back, but we 100% needed another CM, it was a joint priority for me all by side a number 9.
  12. Cooper signed for Forest didn’t he…..
  13. I agree, which is why I actually think CM and ST are our two top priorities. I think the CM role just gets overlooked a lot of the time because we need a 9. But the reality is, other than Winks, that CM looks very suspect.
  14. Exactly this. KDH’s career to date hasn’t been any better than Skipp’s.
  15. So what happens if one of Winks or Ndidi gets injured? And Soumaré and Hamza clearly are not good enough. It leaves us with two central midfielders…… You sign players when they become available for the transfer, the club will be spinning multiple plates to get deals done they won’t just focus on one player at a time.
  16. Skip is one of those players who could get lost in a Spurs team, but here, with us likely to be having less of the ball, he will be like a Kante style of player, disruptive busy body. Energy in the midfield and he’s actually a better ball carrier than some give him credit for, he’s fairly quick so may be able to offer a driving force for us through the middle of the pitch.
  17. Sign Kevyson too as a left back.
  18. Nathan Fernandes from Gremio. I’ll never forgive the club for not making a move on Marcos Leonardo. If we had signed him instead of Daka, we would be in a different position now.
  19. We’re clearly doing our business on the sly, which is good in one respect, but when turds like Romano get involved they piss it up for us. I do think our next two come out of the blue.
  20. Just get them to pay all of the wages. Get the violin out.
