  1. Not everyone who attends are what you would deem “happy clappers”, but those who do attend blissfully unaware that the club is crumbling around them, and will happily clap the team on and off despite completely unacceptable abject performances, and then go on to defend the club and our owners and on top of that declare this is “where we are” are complicit in the demise of this football club. Everyone is entitled to do what they wish, if people with to go and support the team vocally and get behind them, then so be it, if some want to not turn up out of frustration then so be it. But, there is a truth to the idea that a full stadium, which is lately silent, turning up every week when the club is on its arse, is an indication to the ownership, that the majority of the Dan base are fairly satisfied with what’s going on. The fanbase are divided, there’s a toxicity within the fanbase, and it’s not the fans fault, it’s Top’s fault he’s the one that’s created this divide.
  2. They’ve probably dug a hole somewhere and declared it finished.
  3. Quality is definitely the wrong word. Entertaining could probably the word at a push…. This league is horrific, the standard is so bad, sometimes I genuinely can’t watch it, I’d rather go and watch my local team down the park. Promotion could work wonders for you, you say you don’t want to go up, but look at Fulham, Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton! Why would you not want a shot at that? And if you play your cards right, bouncing around the divisions can work in your favour going forward. Trust me, if you go up, and do well enough to stay up you won’t be saying you want to be back in this league…. Trust me this league is like purgatory it’s neither here or there, watching your team get turned over by QPR is not my idea is fun. Trust me, the last decade we’ve had, we’ve seen some incredible football, we’ve taken apart the “biggest” teams in the country / Europe, once you’ve had a taste of that, you’ll want to stay there. Admittedly I don’t know much about your board at the moment, but if you have a half competent one, with ambition there’s no reason you can’t follow in the footsteps of the aforementioned clubs. You should know, you’ve been the pits yourselves, it’s not great, we’re heading back there now, and **** me I wish we weren’t.
  4. I was actually being facetious, implying he’s probably training with us because we’ve indicated that we will be paying him stupid wages.
  5. There must be a reason he’s training with us?
  6. He played a few games for the West Ham academy apparently looked decent, they just didn’t offer him a new deal. I’m trying to convince myself that this will work……
  7. It’s one of those type of signings you just can’t call and have to see what happens… You’d like to think he’s shown something in training to warrant them taking a risk on him, but equally we’ve taken a risk of players who clearly aren’t anywhere near the level of player we need. He obviously older, and has just come back from a pretty nasty car accident. Will he anything like the Antonio of old? I’m dubious…… perhaps he has one more good go left in him? If so it could be inspired? I don’t really know, my preference would be to go for a younger player, but they obviously want a bit of his experience…. Just a case of waiting and see.
  8. Sounds like they’re readying a bid…. I bet it’s something pathetic like £15-£20m.
  9. I’d literally just come on to post the same. I’ve heard if we fail to beat the baggies he’s gone, with Carrick as the favourite to replace him. Lad who’s told me is usually on the money.
  10. So far the calls I have seen have been a “last Hail Mary” for King and MON, whatever the **** that means….. And this? Why are we obsessed with bringing managers back? Neither MON or Enzo would want to come back, Enzo will think we’re beneath him now anyway……:
  11. It’s clearly the way in which Marti is trying to get to get the players to play. You say it’s simple but his instructions are clearly being lost in translation. It’s the playing out from a defensive position which is the biggest problem, we don’t have the players to do this, the only player we have who enables us to play in this way is now no longer part of the squad, if you’re trying to play any form of effective possession based football, to have to have a player who drops into the half spaces between the defenders and the midfield to create the space for other players to move into…. We’re not doing this, what happens is Skipp stands still, JJ clear off into a high 6 position and we have gaping holes in the midfield…… it mean we’re was to press against, we struggle to move the ball upfield and we just turn possession over needlessly and can’t keep hold of the ball. So straight away his plans are in tatters because we can’t do the basics of his philosophy properly. We also play with no pace in our game, we’re heavily reliant on Fatawu and Mavididi producing something from nothing, we just hope Fatawu will take pop shots from 30, 40 yards or take on an entire team himself…. JJ has been our best player, but because he likes to run with the ball to break the lines of the oppositions defence, or breach the press with a run into the final third, he leaves a massive hole in the midfield. It looks like we do try to invert the full back to cover, but because we don’t have that KDH or Wilf type of player, we’re losing control of the midfield very quickly. In essence, we’re hamstringing ourselves trying to play intricate football when collectively we don’t have the play in staff to do so. We need to focus on a more transitional approach, we need probably drop deeper, either play with a back 3 or a midfield 3, and look to create a solid bank of players in the middle of the pitch. Skipp can perform the destroyer role, and then JJ and another can offer support, one sits in a double pivot whilst one presses forward. We also need to focus on getting our wingers int space, rather than playing this slow boring laborious football meaning the wingers get the ball pretty much at walking pace and are expected to generate their own momentum every time. There’s definitely more of a coaching problem here than some wish to accept…. Yes the squad has issues, but if Sheffield United can look dangerous and together, so can we….
  12. I don’t agree, the players are being deployed in a way that doesn’t suit them. Marti is a dreadful manager, coach and tactician… the squad has inadequacies but it’s not as bad as this…….. it’s poorly motivated, poorly coached and has no confidence….. Id say if we had gone for Chris Wilder, we would probably be in a better position.
  13. There will always be circumstances that mean you don’t necessarily want to take part. Those with young kids who are fans I would say there’s no pressure or expectation to take part!
  14. You’re not wrong. Plenty will still go.
  15. What some need to understand, there are more ways to skin a cat, there are also more ways to support your club. Going to every game clapping the lads on and off, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a “good supporter” support works in many ways, you’re allowed to go and get behind the lads, but you’re also allowed to protest…. We’re not protesting because we hate the club, we’re taking a stance because we’re fiercely passionate about it, and we’re frankly fed up, fed up of the bullshit emanating from the club, sick of this acceptance that this is “where we are”. It’s been said many, many times we are here because of complete negligence, incompetence……. If you genuinely love your football, you’ll fight for it, take a stance for it….. don’t just sit there and watch it fall apart.
  16. Ordinarily, what you’re saying is spot on. My only fear is the emotional connection with the club the family have….. Is it unreasonable to think that they may struggle to let the club go? Have the rest of the family already let go, and Top is refusing too, but kind of has if that makes sense? So my fear is, not through anything malicious other than incompetence and the fear of letting go, Top subconsciously jus lets the club drift, and rather than he actively parting from it, waits for it to be taken from him? It makes zero business sense, but what actually makes any sense in the last decade? It makes no sense that we’re stinking out the championship, and teams like Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford are steadily ticking over at PL level, without any of the success we’ve had…… Were such an anomaly that I wouldn’t put it past us to “accidentally” end up in administration…….. because if any club in the world could do such a thing, it’s us…..
  17. Ollie put things brilliantly! Very pleased with that message completely embodied the whole reason for the boycott.
  18. Because he is reluctant to sell, and I clearly losing interested. He will at some point stop bankrolling if he hasn’t already. There’s now signs of shenanigans going on at front line level, and when that happens you know the situation is likely more dire that people think. Messing around with pay internally an early indicator, that there’s more financial problem than people think.
  19. We’re not functioning efficiently as an organisation. Financially we’re in a complete mess. It doesn’t matter if it’s advantageous to the owner or parent company. KP are in a financial predicament themselves, and due to the sentimental attachment to the club from the family, it’s very likely they just leave us to drift away…..
  20. Gut feeling. I think the writings on the wall personally.
  21. I think we will enter administration at some point in 2026…. Probably before the season is over.
  22. Out: Carranza (gone) Winks (Loan) Faes Fatawu In: Two loans Striker and midfielder and potentially one permanent signing from overseas.
  23. Nige every day. I don’t think MON cares for us that much in all honesty. Wasn’t he approached by KP once and rejected the offer?
  24. We will probably go into administration the day they announce this!
  25. The whole team - Expendables.
