I think Mav and Fats are supposed to push wide past the block at that point and open up space for the midfield to flood forward. Can't see why that's not ripping them to shreds right now
-
Don't think the tactic of pushing it down the line for Ayew to outpace the right back is gonna bear much fruit...
-
I'm with you. For the 1 game in 10 he turns up, it's not worth the distinctly average 9 others. Much rather have Monga in there as he makes things happen.
-
Isn't it the team's responsibility to stop giving it to a teammate who is shut down by Coventry before it even gets to him? We really should vary it a bit.
-
Is that about the 4th or 5th time we've tried the ball across the defence to Thomas, who gets trapped and plays a pass up the line to James, who gets mullered by two Coventry players?
-
Currently Coventry are coping well with our "far too strong team"
-
BBC gone a bit confused...
-
I know I'm screaming into the void here, but take the "Winks is shit and a twat to boot" conversations to the main thread in the forum, would ya? You keep getting my hopes up bumping this thread by bitching and bickering in here about who hates him most.

Monga and Page haven't been great thus far.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

5live match coverage for the palace game mentioned Eze appearing to spend longer than usual waving at fans at the end of the game and hypothesised it may be because his departure was imminent. -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Will always be remembered for THAT run and pass for the legendary 200th goal for the GOAT. -
Pfft. How much would we get? £2m?
-
C'mon please. Standards! "our". We're an educated bunch here, surely?
-
Page passes and moves. Sounds obvious, but not many of our players do. He looks good.
-
Who's going to buy him?

And then two months from now you'll be part of the group complaining that we're losing too many games as the inexperienced youth are being dominated by journeymen experienced pros. This may also damage their own development. You can throw a load of kids into a team, but don't be surprised at the sheer number of mistakes that will happen because of it - and way more than calamity Faes is capable of. There's a romantic narrative that chucking in plucky talented kids will result in consistent results, or if it doesn't, it doesn't matter as "at least they want to play for the shirt". If we struggle and some kids do well, the mid table premiership clubs will just pinch them from us for peanuts anyway.
-
Honestly, who is going to buy him? The only slight possibility of something that makes sense for us to sell is abroad. No championship team will pay enough and no premier league team will want him. Our best use is to grit our teeth and cope with his attitude if he keeps playing like he did yesterday. If he gets us up, we have got value out of him.
-
Honestly, who buys Winks? No premiership club will want him, he's too slow. A championship rival wouldn't pay enough so I can't see him leaving.
-
With more composure, BEK could have just stepped left and had an open goal on the chance. Or side footed it first time into the corner. You know, like a top class player should be able to do...
-
Crowd favourite Wout Faes, take a bow son.
-
Wow, Ayew. Good work.
-
Fcuk off Ayew you useless twerp
-
9 man back line coming up for the remainder of the half.
-
Er...
-
He wants to stick up two middle fingers to the stadium and shout "fcuk yooouuuuu!" but decided to smile and hide the pain.
