Championship 2024/2025 Season Thread
OntarioFox replied to Happy Fox's topic in General Football and Sport
Think that Luton result is curtains for Cardiff and 'Arr Will. Be hilarious if Cov bottle the playoffs as a result though! -
Where the hell is Edouard in that case
-
Nah, at this point anything that minimises Forest's Champions League ambitions is the preferable outcome.
-
It's in a great location to expand too, pretty much just grass and trees for hundreds of yards around it.

Not £1 until the ownership changes

Times like this I miss Donington Market. Could buy a shirt off the back of a van, twenty quid, no questions asked. Not a penny to the club, clean conscience, who cares if the badge has a Squirrel on it and reads 'Lezester County Soccer Team'? -
I have it on good authority that we should have been calling him Kespur Schmeekle

I see it every week in the centre of our defence. -

Think he can count down to us scoring? Six Month Five Month One month Goal! -
Who do you want to be our main striker next season?

Sheff Utd loaning him out to a lesser club to track his development. How the mighty have fallen. -

Farke says hi As for Piroe himself, a lot of us here - myself included - did a lot of mental gymnastics to convince ourselves we'd dodged a bullet not signing him and that Cannon would be a better signing. We were wrong. I'm still hoping we have a go at getting Kone from Wycombe, but more than anything I want Evans to be given a go. If he doesn't cut it then fair enough, next season is far more about rebuilding the spine from the ashes than an instant return to this shitshow for me. I'm cool with Ayew having a part to play, but if he ends up being the main man we'll have learned absolutely nothing and deserve everything we get. Daka, no, take whatever we can get for him. He was painfully average in the Championship last time out, he is not the answer. -
Charlotte are on the up too, times it right and he could win them their first title.

The JAMIE VARDY STAND. Rename the Kop.
OntarioFox replied to Spudulike's topic in Leicester City Forum
They wouldn't even manage with a compass, the stands are NE / SE / SW / NW. We can't even get directions right. -
Seriously speaking though, that Liverpool goal. I went mad and turned to my brother who was just stood open-mouthed for 30 seconds before he whispered 'what the f**k'. Shame it wasn't Caden Voice

The GOAT's acrimonious departure in such circumstances seals it for me. There was always a risk we'd go down again, but prime Messi would struggle to hit double figures in this setup. We've driven a 38 year old into the ground instead of managing his game time. It's a minor miracle he's still bagged 7 goals. The fanbase will of course forever be grateful for what Jamie gave us, but bugger me, this is even worse a letdown of a departure for me than Schmeichel's sudden exit, Morgan being overlooked for coaching and ending up helping F*rest develop a top-6 backline, or Kingy's promised testimonial that never happened. Top, Rudkin, Whelan, Cooper, RVN, the rest of the squad this is on all of you. Get out of my club.

Jake Evans has had 30 seconds of game time and not touched the ball for us, yet I've still seen enough to say I'd rather give him game time than Daka.

Scoring goal 200 to sink Forest's UCL ambitions

numb

I mean the bar is so low now, all Farke would need to do is A) get promoted and B) get us 20+ points, and he'd be our most successful top flight manager since Rodgers.

Can he play at the back? I'd honestly rather put an ant in there right now than the current lot.

Comedy Highlights Of A Terrible Season

I've seen Goodbye Mr. Chips, Grave Of The Fireflies, Schindler's List, Old Yeller, Of Mice And Men ... none of them brought me to tears quite like watching Wout the Clown play every week. -
What's this LinkedIn post? Can't find it anywhere.

I'm just really relieved I have local non-league to distract me next season. I'm angry - that much should be obvious from the amount of time I've spent on here ranting and analysing various aspects of our abject failure. But I'm just apathetic to it, and probably will be until Top at a bare minimum swings the axe on Rudkin, Glover and Whelan, if not sells the club entirely. It's equal parts reassuring and depressing that i've been to one sixth-tier game this week, and enjoyed it more than anything LCFC have given me since the FA Cup win four years ago. That's absolutely damning for a club that inn 2016 taught the whole football world to dream, because the impossible can happen. I need to rediscover my love for football, and I'm not going to do that following KPFC, whatever happens next season.

Cooper was shit. RVN was shitter. However, Cooper oversaw the signings that ultimately tanked our season. The one thing I can say in RVN's credit is, it wasn't him that signed Ayew, Skipp, BDCR, Edouard on loan... and for all his tactical shortcomings, he's started playing the best player left at the club (Ricardo) as soon as he's fit instead of weirdly freezing him out for no good reason. I'm sure he'd be doing the same with Fatawu if he had him at his disposal too - folks at Southampton will tell you that Abdul dragged us through that game despite us being objectively awful overall against a team currently tied with the worst in PL history for points. It's not a controversial take to simply say that we'd have been absolutely screwed whichever of the two ended the season in the dugout. The board have blood on their hands for every single decision they've made on recruitment since Enzo left.
