What happens when both of the main political parties are lurching towards political extremism.

https://metro.co.uk/2019/06/10/plan-10-hour-working-week-75-paycut-labour-9878450/ Goodness Me. Should be good for paying back all that borrowing they propose.

Its ironic that the people who claim that those who voted for Brexit were 'stupid' and 'ill informed', yet it seems 'some' of those people seeming still vote for the Labour Party, absolutely baffling. They are unelectable if Corbyn stays in charge and they continue to pedal their nonsense half assed 'customs union deal'. Their complete unaffordable and dangerous state asset ceasing, and despite being the party of 'alleged niceness' want to take anyone who has a garden - yes that's anyone - £400 a year at least in their 'land for the many policy'. Do they want us all to live in Soviet style tower blocks?? They are absolutely frightening. Seeing Corbyn's mouth frothing speech at the Trump demo, also gives me serious concerns about his levels of hate and his sanity.

So is Corbyn to be fair. -The man who could find a space on a Virgin Train, sat on the floor despite having a booked 1st class ticket! -I was present at wreath-laying but don't think I was involved There are many others but neither can be trusted, like most politicians I guess.
-
With that I can agree. Thanks for explaining. I am absolutely sure that there are many questionable policies (will flick back at some point), I suppose its difficult to please all of the people all of the time. I don't know what the general mass consensus of people in the US is?! I think a lot of people will be swayed by money, if you make a population more wealthy they will more likely vote for you. Sadly the majority of the human race isn't that compassionate, hence the reason why so many rich people never share their wealth with the poor equally despite having the ability to do so, should they want to.

They serve no useful purpose. If you are a remain voting centrist, then the Lib Dems are where you belong.

I am not sure there was ever a claim the Nazis were similar to the left wing communists they are of course no, I said they were both crazy and both killed people. I saying that both principles seem to come from a similar place and end in a similar place. If find it strange the usual left = good, right = bad thing when its simply not true, both can be bad, both can be good. Its controversial to suggest that those countries were of a similar ideology before the USSR invaded them. I am not so sure the likes of Ukraine would agree. I know certain factions of the left think the dissolution of the USSR was a bad thing. At the end of the day the Nazis believed in a master race, the Slavs weren't part of that particular ideology but its not to say most of their principles were not similar. Back to Trump, there will always been people who don't agree with a leader. I am not American but growth seems good, and employment levels are good, this seems good to the vast majority of people. With regards the women of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky is this really Trumps fault of that of the particular states?
-
Is that not how the whole of the USSR was formed by invading the likes of Ukraine, Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Czechoslovakia etc? China - Tibet? Korean War? I think some of his intentions i.e more jobs and more wealth for all Americans would benefit quite a few people.
-
Haven't there been plenty on the supposed 'far-left' who have done that too? Communist Russia, China, for example (Stalin/Mao) in more recent time Venezuela (Maduro). I much prefer to call them mindless idiots, I don't think anyone that mindlessly kills is of a specific political agenda. 'Most' people running countries genuinely want the best, they just disagree on how to get there. I think Trump for all his faults genuinely wants the best for America and American people, far better to have him as an Allie than an enemy that is for sure.
-
Was Hitler really far-right either? He was in the National Socialist German Workers' Party, it was anti-capaitalist, anti-semetic with a nasty twist.
-
Why not vote Lib Dem Instead? Much less offensive. I can not see how anyone who votes remain can ever vote for them, I don't see how the leavers in the North can vote for them. Having him as Prime Minister is by far the most stupid thing this country could ever do, the damage to wealth and the economy would be far beyond that prophesised over Brexit.
-
Never understood why they didn't just join the Lib Dems anyway. They are filling the remain/centre ground already why split the vote?
-
Its more the double standards that annoys me. If you don't meet the US President because of his views and are not prepared to have a grown up conversation with him then likewise you should not be meeting terrorists, despot dictators and Russian/Chinese/Iranian governments who treat their citizens terribly and have no standards on human rights/equality. Pretty much every country has/does make some questionable decisions and will continue to do so. You can not have it all ways.
-
I still find it baffling that the leader of the opposition will meet terrorists, despot dictators of South American Socialist hell holes, Russians, Chinese and Iranian governments. He wont however speak directly to the leader of the most powerful nation on earth. Bizarre.
-
Exactly, just imagine 70000 Plastic Mancs who think they should be winning the Champions League year in year out. There will always be idiots in the support at any club but the pressure at United given the expectations of the support and media would be huge. For me its a very bad career move after 1 year in the Prem. I would give it another few years and become established and more experienced, that is the time to move up. Even Mahrez who is an absolute quality finished article of a player is struggling for first team places.
-
Also depressing how the leader of her majesty's opposition sees fit not to attend a state banquet with the president of the most powerful country on Earth. Whether you agree with what Trump has done and does, the UK needs a trading relationship with America, upsetting a country where a lot of our trade and investment come from is just dumb. He was democratically elected by the US public. Corbyn is of course happy to meet with Hezbollah, Hamas, Numerous Russians, The Chinese, South American countries, Iran who all have questionable records with Human rights/equality, the first few are just out right terrorist organisations. The man is a joke, I have no idea how anyone could put a cross next to the Labour Party with him as leader.
-
If he wants an example of why this would be a bad idea, look at Drinkwater. Failed at United, went to Barnsley ended up here, should have learnt his lesson as he was a big fish in a small pond. Decides to go to Chelsea and disappears off the face of the earth and gets a drink drive charge! Great progression! Don't listen to greedy agents. Maddison has good potential but is not the finished article, United fans and the media wont have the same patience we have had with some of his poorer performances this season.
-
What a great choice we have. And the liar Corbyn is still leader of the opposition. How Labour still got such a large vote share is baffling. Blind loyalty. I am not sure what the point of a GE would be.
-
I will be voting Lib Dem. I cant really understand how anyone can vote for the Labour (does anyone actually know their 'TRUE' position?) or the Tories (so divided, no clear leadership)? Mays deal is likely the best we are going to get from the EU. The real choice now is Mays Deal, No Deal or Remain A customs union is utterly pointless It gives us absolutely the worst of everything, we may as well just stay in, I am not even sure why the Labour party are rambling on about this waste of time.it shouldn't fool anyone. They are not delivering Brexit, they are not delivering remain. I can not understand how they poll as high as they do! They have screwed the North and screwed their remain supporting membership -Bizarre -they deserve to be finished, they both do.

Iconic wall painted over with grey paint

So why does it need to be Grey? I am not sure why the exterior needed changing. -
I think in some ways we have improved with more creativity from more areas, when Mahrez was off form we didn't create.
