  1. Resurrection of an old thread - many of you were kind enough to contribute to this. I can advise Florence is still battling on - it has not been easy by any stretch of the imagination. For those who are able - she is going to be on “This Morning” today some time between 10:45 and 11:30 Thanks
  2. Bert - do vote. I won’t try to influence you other than ask you one simple question. What matters to you most? What party is best able to deliver that for you? I will try to influence you: is what most matters to you the best for everyone. You decide
  3. Out of interest what are you hearing when you are out there? Are you going to areas that may not be traditionally Labour? Are people frightened to say they’d vote differently from you - I remain cautious about the Tory vote capitulating completely (although their campaign/ record would support that). TIA.
  4. Are they - you can get 2/1 on Labour winning this seat. Greens 4/11 I found that interesting as I thought Thangham Debbonaire was quite well respected - has she done something wrong locally? Same odds in this seat as Brighton P. By the way I’m hugely impressed by Bristol NW’s Darren Jones - some of his select committee skewering of attendees is excellent (YouTube)
  5. What has upset me more than anything in politics in the last five years has been the blatant corruption and lies barely called out by a sycophantic mainstream media. It is obvious that most participants on here will not vote Conservative but there will be people lurking (and some participating) that will. Like others I would be intrigued to know why? What, in heaven’s name, has been achieved. And now we have Farage re-surface. In fairness, given the profile he enjoys in the MSM, it hardly feels like he’s been away. Sound bite promises that can resonate with people who feel “lost with politics”. I remember all too well the morning following the Brexit result: Farage, Johnson & Gove - the limelight kids - couldn’t be found anywhere. Basically because they had no plan, they’d lied to the electorate and promised things they knew they could not deliver. Farage is an opportunist (that is the kindest thing I could call him) and I hope he is put under the microscope (not holding my breath) because he’s doing it again - promising things he will not be able to deliver other than divisiveness. I hope and pray the UK electorate do not fall for it again.
  6. If you can get it, and want a different commentary, the Boro commentators on their channel are excellent. Passionate but fair.
  7. Never forget winning 9-0 at Southampton when they had a player sent off early on - sorry Ric couldn’t resist it
  8. Hmmmm I wonder how much Spain and other Eastern European countries spunk on inquiries and legal fees? Pity we didn’t use our EU handouts from “our EU contributions” a little more wisely
  9. Kushiro - I really do enjoy your wonderful contributions on the forum. Thank you 👍
