To think he was a cult hero at Crystal Palace.
He's so bad that he makes me appreciate all our other bad players in comparison.
-
Will Alves apparently having a good game but Huddersfield dont have anyone getting on the end of chances.

You watching it? Consensus seems to be he was on and maybe Vale was off.
Follow on free kick came from where Evans was so the linesman flagged him. Couldn't tell if he was on or not.

We're 10 points behind Swansea FFS
4 points behind Norwich, whose fans seemed certain they would be relegated back in November/December.
It's ridiculous to suggest that we could be relegated though

It’s now 2026. How many clubs have the same RB from 7 years ago. Especially one who has spent so much time injured.
To be fair Ricardo wasnt just any right back at that time, he was a top 3 right back in the PL in 2019 neck and neck with Trent Alexander Arnold and Kyle Walker. He was far too good for us and should have made a £60mil move to PSG that summer.
Factoring in the above it was probably still worth persisting with him through injuries, he was our best player as recently as 23/24.
It's time to move on now though.

A well run club never signs him.
A moderately well run club gets rid of him last summer.
A poorly run club moves him on this January.
Only our abomination of a club would still have Winks involved at this point.

The two worst run clubs in English league football. 3rd place isn't close either.

Hell of an understatement.
Merge this thread with that if you're that bothered. 🤷♂️
Incredible understatement considering we have just lost back to back home games against relegation rivals.
Some fans still cant see the wood for the trees, it's February and we are above the relegation zone on goal difference whilst being in relegation form without a manager.
After 22/23 we surely cant still be as blinkered as a fan base to see that relegation is not only a possibility, it's more likely than us finishing in the top half of the table. Yet you still have some fans talking about the playoffs.

brilliant article by Tom Collomose
Agree with everything except for that Steve Cooper was sacked too early.
In the summer he was pushing for a £10 million loan for a finished Zaha, and we still signed load of terrible and expensive players for him.
If he had made it to the winter transfer window we would have had a 9-12 points deduction this season and more crap players that we would not be able to shift.

A bigger violation of these stupid rules would have led to bigger success and probably to more Champions League seasons. We could have ended with 200 charges but who cares. Man City will be punished around 2077 the Cyberpunk way. Who cares.
The club was way too passive since we won the PL. This is a fact. And don't get me started with arguments like "little Leicester". If you want to run a successful business you take risks, you fight the corruption with more corruption and if you want you relocate the business to the Metropolis of corruption (London) until Leicester Council builds an underground so the happy clappers don't have to leave the stadium in the 77min.
If we broke more financial rules then we would just have more Soumares, Dakas, Perezs, Praets, Faes's, Slimanis, Ghezzals etc stinking up the bench or out on loan then leaving for minimal fees.
It does matter how much we spend, the club is terrible at recruitment so the only difference would be having expensive crap players or cheaper crap players. We would never have become Champions league regulars.

We have previously been in administration…
We got promoted to the top flight the season we were in administration.
There's a decent chance we are in league one for the second time in our history next season. If not you can still only see things getting worse for us in the near future.

How on Earth is Rudkin still at the club by the way.
Completely bewildering.

It's tragic that even if he was just signing for the U21s I would be annoyed at him blocking Hutchinson's pathway and reducing Otchere's game time.
This guy as a first team signing is just a complete piss take from the club. It just keeps on getting exponentially worse the longer these twats are left in charge.

Stolarczyk is a liability. Awful keeper, never should have been given the no.1 shirt.
You need to go specsavers if you think hes better than Max, or your on a wind up
Have you seen Hermansen play in the last year? He has been dreadful.

At a higher level against better players
Stolarczyk wasnt as bad in the PL as Hermansen has been since coming back from injury, there was a clear drop off when Hermansen was rushed back to replace Stolarczyk last season.
Hermansen also completely missed a bread and butter save against QPR in the cup, even against weaker opposition he looks miles off it. You didn't notice his height as much when he was more agile but he looks tiny in goal nowadays for West Ham, he cannot cover his corners anymore.

What is Jakub excuse.......
Jakub also had an injury but at least he makes the save more often than not (saves it 67% of the time).
Since Hermansen's injury every shot at him has been a coin toss whether it goes in or not (saves it 55% of the time).
-
If a woman goalkeeper conceded the goals Hermansen has conceded in the last year there would be shouts to reduce the size of the goal.
Since his injury he has lost the power in his legs that made him a good shot stopper and now he cant reach the corners of the goal due to his height.
If he comes back he almost certainly will not be the same as the last time he was in the championship.

Ever since Cifuentes kicked him out the squad, our results have been poor.
I couldn't care less about his personality or living habits, we're at a point now where we just need the best players to play on the pitch.
Maresca was constantly foaming at the mouth about how important Winks was when we won this league.
Our results actually improved after he was bombed out the squad.
3 wins in 14 when he's started. 4 wins in 11 with him dropped.
Crap either way but fans are quick to forget how disgustingly poor Winks has been for us on the pitch for the last two seasons.

When we think it cant get worse than Daka we sign Ayew.
When we think it cant get worse than Soumare we sign Aribo.
Just F off King Power, this ownership is no better than if they were actively trying to tank the club.

Not much you can do with this group of players.
What else could he do? Start Aluko and Daka maybe but that's not guaranteed to work out either.

The reaction of Atalanta fans to us signing him told us everything.
Incredible that the club did not do even the slightest due diligence before signing him.

Those impact stats are all relative to the league they are in, imagine the numbers Yamel would register in Sweden for instance.
Diabate scored & assisted more in the same league but mocked when it looked like he was coming here 🤷♂️
There's a big gap between Lamine Yamal and Cordova Reid. Would Bobby be in one of these tables even if he was in Sweden, i dont think so.
Also I was fine with the Diabate rumour
. Looked like he had good movement.
