Liam manning is going on leave until the end of the season. Which may mean Alves gets a few more opportunities
It will be his assistant taking over though who will be aligned with Manning sadly.

Same team as Monga and Page?
Bizarre how it works out really, two players who have been in the first team for much of this season and a player who has been kept with the u18s playing at the same level.

I prefer that he is getting zero blame for the mess we are in.
Some of our fans were starting to partly blame him for our downfall

Evans off at half time? Apparently he missed a decent chance. Hopefully he starts getting given more than a half again.

You have obviously never seen Otchere play.
Hutchinson far better but not ready yet although last 15 mins off the bench would be worth a gamble.
The best option was Evans but we let him go out on loan 🤡🤷♂️🤡🤷♂️🤡🤷♂️
I have seen Ochtere play in person, I wasn't a fan originally but he has been among the goals recently for the U21s.
Considering the club's reluctance to promote Hutchinson to the U21s perhaps Ochtere is our best bet at displacing Daka/Ayew, although I would prefer Hutchinson.
We really need to try anything as we're not getting any value from the terrible two.

Time to promote Hutchinson or Otchere? Or give Mukasa a run at striker?

He's our player, just on a 6 month contract.

I mean I dont mind players giving it out if they can deliver consistently. That said obviously this club is ran by morons, if the manager doesn't talk to players about why they are dropped I can understand why the morale is bad. Managers have to communicate, in fairness a one legged Faes would be better than any of our current defenders.
In Wout Faes's last 2 games for the club we were down 3-0 at half time.
It should have been obvious to Faes why he was dropped but somehow it never is. He was playing like sh*t.
As bad as Nelson and Okoli have been they are not as bad as Faes.

“Several clubs interested” but we still couldn’t get him out of the door (and even then only a loan with an option to buy). Add to the Rudkin masterclass list.
It’s also interesting to hear him openly say that at the end of last season - whilst he still had plenty of time left on his contract - he knew it was time for him to leave the club. How many others have also had that realisation/hope and are sat still playing in our first team whilst longing for a departure?
These are the kind of things that lead to what we’re seeing now: a load of players that have checked out and don’t believe they’ll be here to deal with the consequences of relegation. In actual fact, relegation probably furthers your aim to leave.
How mad is that? That the likes of Winks and Mavididi probably want their next move and know they will get it easier if we drop. Are they really going to give it 100% effort?!Faes has had that realisation multiple times sadly. Must have been over a year ago when his agent announced he would be leaving.

Over the season as a whole, the PPG stats for the games in which Vestergaard played vs those he didn't are stark. There is a huge difference. I don't think that can be glossed over by narrowing down the frame of reference to Cifuentes' last nine games.
Okoli is not good enough for this level. Nelson is talented but is extremely inconsistent. We need at least one experienced head in there, whether that be Vestergaard, Lascelles or Souttar. I suspect when everyone is fit Nelson will be on the bench and Okoli will struggle to make the squad.Games where Winks started: 0.95 PPG
Games where Winks didn't start: 1.35 PPG
Yet you still adore Winks.
It feels to me that you are picking and choosing which players you consider to be at fault for our downfall.
Our low points per game without Vestergaard is massively weighted by the games that King was in charge and where we looked rudderless.
As @Chelmofox just mentioned Vestergaard's injury also aligns with Jordan James being injured.
You can't just conclude the cause of our woes when there are so many variables.

Okoli and Nelson was a semi regular centre back pairing before Cifuentes got sacked and they were fine at averaging over a point per game.
For comparison cifuentes's last 9 games:
With vestergaard: Played 4 Won 1 drawn 1 lost 2 PPG 1
Nelson and Okoli: Played 5 Won 2 lost 3 PPG 1.2
Vestergaard being out isn't the problem, it's the terrible way the club approached sacking and replacing Cifuentes. We should have either had someone ready to come in immediately or kept him.

This article published today in the Mercury hints that Vestergaard isn't quite ready but Souttar may be. It also says that with Vestergaard in the team this season we have averaged 1.33 points per game and only 0.86 points per game without him.
Vestergaard's points total benefits from him getting injured around the time Cifuentes was sacked.
Our form has collapsed since then, only 6 points in 9 games!

Both are better than Stolarcryk.
Both would make a difference.
This was Iversen earlier this week.
Stolarczyk wouldn't hear the end of it if he palmed the ball in to trouble like Iversen did and also fumbled the corner.
It's just the case of the grass being greener, there's not much between them.

People need to stop jumping straight to the “administration” talk every time relegation is mentioned. Yes, dropping to League One would obviously be a massive financial hit, but clubs the size of us aren’t automatically on the brink of collapse because of it.
We’ve still got parachute payments, a big fanbase, Premier League infrastructure, and players who would likely be sold if needed to balance things. Plenty of big clubs have gone down to League One and recovered without going into administration.
The bigger issue isn’t just relegation itself – it’s how the ownership and recruitment have been handled over the last few years. That’s what’s put us in this mess. Relegation would hurt badly, but it doesn’t automatically mean the club is about to go bust.
Parachute payments cover the various loans we have accrued, our playing squad is worth very little.
We will likely have to sell the training ground at the very least

Be selective in your comments. Some are. Most aren't and are realists and see the actual picture. I believe you're referring to the happy clapper brigade of a Dad's Army type of supporter.
I'm not referring to the happy clappers here although they are bizarre themselves.
I'm referring to the fans that are harsher on young players than they are on older ones, despite the younger ones still learning their trade and being on significantly lower wages.
If BCDR and Mukasa are equally not up to standard then I would still rather give leeway to Mukasa who is still learning his trade at this level than persist with BCDR who is supposedly "prem proven" but has shown very little of that even in the Championship and won't get better.
We seem to have more fans like this than other clubs for some reason.

Its a shame we keep thinking that youngsters,. are own and now loan ones are somehow the answer.
Most of the fan base wanted him in at the expense of BCR and that crashed like most of the decisions our club seems to make these days!
BCDR is not the answer either, 5 wins in 18 starts.
Not much difference between the senior pros and youngsters in terms of quality, just when the youngsters have a bad game they are written off completely whereas the senior pros are always one good game away from being labelled too good for this league.
Bizarre fan base really.

The good news is you have us next..
Bad news we also play Oxford and WBA away too - sorry.
You have 2 wins in your last 5, we have 2 wins in our last 10. You are still heavy favourites.

It's been inevitable since the Southampton 3-4 game. Just accept it and enjoy Jordan James whilst he's still here.

He will leave us and go loco
He may do but he is currently struggling in league 2 as a 24 year old.
It may be because he's struggling t to return from injury and he manages to turn it around with enough game time but in my opinion he's not worth the gamble and we should cut loose.

Why would we refuse selling to an English club? Some BS in there.
More likely to get a decent sell on from selling to Stuttgart? Crystal Palace and Newcastle might price him out of a move in the future and screw us over.

We're actually playing well, hopefully not a repeat of the Southampton game.
