"Deserve" is where we differ. He has to find a way. I completely think he has talent, and I'd love for him to own the shirt for years... but "deserve" is too strong I reckon. It IS harder for defenders though. You don't sub a defender to change up a game. Tough gig.

Football is tough, particularly for youngsters. You have to take the limited chances you get. We saw the cup game. Truth is Ben hasn't grabbed the shirt yet. Nobody is ruling him out. Honestly, limited at the top level as they are, after our wingers the biggest strength in our team is Vesty and Faes. They're (half!) a level above this league. (Obviously too slow to play together against top forwards.)

I don't agree with this. Ayew absolutely *isn't* good enough for us at CF - too slow. Hopefully Carranza will be a better option, but let's see if he steps forward.

I want to see more of Carranza, and I want to see as much of Jeremy as possible before he b*****s off to Liverpool or City... but I'm prepared to be patient today haha!

Nelson hasn't done enough to earn selection, nor is there a real reason to change the defence. If he's good enough his time will come. Soumare's pretty cack, but I'd pick him over Skipp if JJ is needed upfield. If Carranza is any good he'll take Ayew's place, but he's got to show something off the bench. Call it an incentive. Mav's not our biggest problem by any means. He could win this for us. Sure Jeremy could reach an entirely different level, but we do need to be careful with such a young lad.

Come on City, we've got enough to win this. Looking forward to seeing Jeremy and Carranza in the second half.
