There *is* a level of criticism of "supporters" who turn up, contribute *nothing at all* by way of support during a game, then *mindlessly applaud* the team off the pitch regardless of the performance on show. Why is this question so hard to answer?! Reckon it's because unless you're weird it's *hard* to dislike someone you don't really know, and even harder to be reluctant to rate them in the context of doing well for your team! So the reasons fall into the "genuine" (e.g. lack of effort, not making the most of ability/chances, wanting out, criminality) and the utter BS (jealously, rivalry, subconscious bias)! And they have to actually be good!

No problems nowadays, not a sniff. Back then as a younger man I carried a bigger chip on my narrower shoulders. Like many "northerners", probably comes from an in-baked inferiority complex!
