  1. They lost the series against Bangladesh and have lost to The West Indies in this match, not sure its home advantage unless England are touring
  2. Suggested him not long ago, he's been class in Russia
  3. Here we go
  4. No they won't, you can enjoy a win and if we do, it doesn't miraculously change that the club is run like shit
  5. Urgh Gray
  6. Score first against Forest and you have a much better chance as they have to actually open up a bit
  7. They aren't letting folk on who are sensible let's be honest
  8. Matt "I've had problems with every manager I've ever played under but I was never the issue" Mills
  9. Sam Cook has had a decent time with the Lions considering the reason he hasn't played for the test team is because people thought he'd probably struggle outside of England
  10. It's a novelty but they could perhaps try picking one or two lads from county cricket who have done well
  11. Give Sunburn by James Felton a read brother
  12. We were close to failing any financial rules at that point? probably not. You referenced 25 million by the way, there's no guarantees in football though so by your logic we should never sign anyone. Yeah on paper those signings continued to fit the model, buy young players in the hope of moving them on for profit. The issue was we didn't sell anyone that window, meaning the following summer we were restricted with what we could do.
  13. You could still overspend in the summer though and you're starting on zero. At least in those January windows, the gap was so large and as you say they probably didn't predict the collapse, so it's arguably low risk to strengthen when you look fairly certain for top 4. Additionally even if the players aren't as good as you think, they instantly create competition for places and stop complacency creeping in
  14. So it would of appeared fairly low risk to strengthen
  15. It would of gone down fine let's be honest, we'd been doing it for years. We'd of already missed out on top 4 twice by the point you've referenced, so we weren't 'staying' anywhere. What did lack ambition was not spending in the windows referenced when both times we were in a position where the media were saying there's one spot in the top 4 to play for as the top 3 are all so far ahead (including us)
  16. I think people would have probably understood pushing at those points referenced though as I think most would see the risks as worthwhile, we were also still applying the model of selling assets to reinvest at that point. What wasn't great was binning off the model of selling to reinvest and spunking a fortune
  17. So if he hasn't settled and is struggling to live in France you'd expect him to stay because the club is struggling. Sure thing
  18. Nice to see you ignored the post about him not settling in France
  19. Didn't the manager say he's really struggled to settle in France
