  1. Chelsea fans already turning on Maresca it seems
  2. Enzo is going to have a bid in for Hermansen before the end of the day after that from Sanchez
  3. Arsenal up one
  4. wouldn't have made a difference, they've recruited extremely well, not just players either. we'd have given him BDR and Coady
  5. so funny that we passed over Moyes twice
  6. hate to defend arsenal but that's never a red
  7. I agree but I doubt they'll see it like that - he has a fair bit of interest in him
  8. Fully agree. Can't be doing that to your teammate. We're already hearing that he's finding it hard to settle and someone is leaking shit to the press that puts extra pressure on him. And for what? To force out a manager they don't like? Whoever it is needs to give their head a wobble.
  9. I guess the point is, we aren't mentioned at all, two other teams are in for him.
  10. "Sky confirms, there is Stuttgart for Pavlovic. In case of farewell Disasi of Chelsea a concrete option"
  11. umbro speciali if you ask me
  12. Celtic friend of mine says they're in for Mathias Kvistgaarden. I'd take him here if he'd come.
  13. i really really really wanna Djiga Djiga
  14. Seems like he doesn't really rate him, which would explain benching him more often then we'd like.
  15. I'd be tempted to sell if we're getting into the 18m+ range.
  16. I think he's free to talk to foreign clubs for the summer window - maybe that's what is happening?
  17. Could see it as a dry loan, maybe.
  18. Wonder if we could get Daizen Maeda off of Celtic? Plays off the left or through the middle, runs his socks off (very Okazaki like in that regard) and presses non-stop. Lacking a bit technically, but so are a lot of our wingers at the moment.
  19. Is this going to be Lookman 2.0? Don't think he got enough chances while he was here, but would much rather we were bringing him on than McAteer or BDR.
  20. I agree - but the fear is that Mads is out for a long time, or (hopefully not) the rest of the season. Jakub doesn't seem to be doing too bad, but maybe Ruud thinks otherwise.
  21. Btw, if this isn't evidence to never let Sean Dyche near our club, I don't know what is.
  22. Moyes is cooking
  23. Whatever happens with the footballing project, we need a total rethink of our recruitment when we go down. We need a unified vision from a DoF who has half a clue. Tap into under utilised markets. We're pretty good at looking at Scandinavia, but Eastern Europe/Central Asia/Japan/Korea/South America are all places teeming with talent. Buy to sell - we need the Brighton mentality of having two players waiting in the wing for every first teamer; so when one of the big boys come sniffing, we aren't left in a whole in our squad for 5+ years like we had at RW, for example. The game has changed and you can't really expect loyalty, so everybody needs to be a replaceable cog. It's not a romantic view of football, but it's that or slogging it in the lower leagues. It will also encourage us to move players on. We left so much money on the table by letting the likes of Tielemans, Soyuncu, Kelechi etc walk for free because we were afraid to sell when their value was high and lose quality in our squad. We need to stop looking for finished products, recruit and develop players (would also need a coach with that mindset). Use the academy. This means committing to a philosophy and instilling that in players coming through the academy like La Masia or one of the other big boy academies. That philosophy should also guide managerial appointments. While I'm at it, I feel like we should move to the head coach model, and retain more power in the club proper rather than ping-ponging back and forth based on what each manager feels like doing. Continuity is so important and no other successful business worth this much operates by changing direction every 18 months.
  24. Watch Ange get fired in time for us to get absolutely battered by Ryan Mason (Interim)
