  1. Not to be too woke but that's an extremely distasteful joke don't you think? One of the most evil men in history
  2. This one feels like a banana peel for sure, as is the RO16 vs Mexico that would follow. Dunno if I trust Tuchel or his selection enough.
  3. You're right but I think you could argue we peaked at the right time for a team with our resources to win the league before it became totally out of reach
  4. Just got back from the bar I was watching at, I was surprised by how many of the German fans were not expecting to win before the game started. Lots of people mad at Nagelsmann, lots of people blaming the foul (very soft, but I don't think it's a total robbery like some were making out), but mostly a feeling that the talent in the squad just simply isn't there. The only big name to really show up was sort of Havertz? But then he missed a super crucial penalty.
  5. Baumann, and many were surprised that Neuer got given the #1 over him. But can you really say Neuer was the problem?
  6. as i typed this he misses probably the chance of the game so far
  7. Kane pretty anonymous for somebody who should be trying to make the case for the Ballon D'or
  8. Finally Madueke is off
  9. I mean, maybe, but getting the win is impressive when you see what the other strong sides have struggled with; Portugal vs DRC, Spain vs Cabo Verde, I'd even say Cote D'ivoire looked like the better side against Germany for basically 80 minutes of the game. Only France and Argentina have really breezed through everything so far.
  10. Strong and good ball from Abdul
  11. Hardly feels like a world cup without one
  12. The gap has definitely closed; as a fan I'm not sure I'd describe Algeria as flying but I get your point. I weirdly think because of how cutthroat the CAF qualifiers were, having more teams in has made it so the chances of a strong african team coming through more likely. Previously you could have a great team (egypt around 2010-2014) and not qualify because you lost a single game
  13. I don't see anybody currently on the pitch scoring for them in fairness
  14. Looking like the sort of game that Fatawu could randomly score an absolute screamer in out of nowhere.
  15. off by an arsecheek, unlucky
  16. you hate to see it, but also the way the ball went into the corner of the net was immensely satisfying
  17. wish teams would stop putting out their lineups in numerical order
  18. yeah i'm not expecting much but i've got the dual interest of growing up in scotland and being half-algerian that makes me really want to see morocco lose
  19. come on scotland, **** these lot up
  20. it's all upside down over there so it's a curly 7-0
  21. think they built a wall for those
  22. yeah mate i've got it on the telly
  23. if australia can score one here i think they can come back to win entirely, it's there for the taking
