After reading everyone’s comments, I hope the group ain’t taking anything personally. I think the main reason for this topic gaining as many pages and replies as the cooper out thread is simply because of the team and importance of the match. Had it been against Fulham for example I don’t think people would have been as bothered. @Nolucklcfc speaks well on this page and he’s right in what he’s saying. Far more people will join in with the short snappy ones. That’s not to say cut out the European style as there has got to be a mixture of both.. yous do it really well. All I would add is to sing more about the players.. harry winks ran the midfield for the equaliser and ok vardy scored but he could have been sung for too.. On a separate note arsenal was incredibly quiet on the telly yesterday but when their Allez chant goes it’s top tier.. for some reason it goes all round their ground as we experienced a couple of weeks ago.. hint hint HIIINNNNTTTTTTT don’t give up lads, we are all working together and want the same outcome.. it’s finding that equal balance again..

I think your right but I think you only have to look at the quality of our songbook to realise that.. all these clubs have songs that are happy and get people jumping around, singing loud and proud.. freed from desire is a classic one.. we have nothing like that..

I feel like this topic goes round in a 360 most of the time. Here is a genuine suggestion and I ain’t pointing the finger at anyone.. maybe have the drum but use it for less time in match. Use it to get the song going and then stop to see what happens. I came out the other day losing my voice, but 10 rows behind when a few try to change the song it ain’t easy. on a side note I saw a clip of Mansfield fans at Wigan the other day and they had a drum, although the ground was 80% empty they were having a blast. It may be a pain in the arse but I think the drum would be better away than home (just an opinion don’t jump on me )

Absolutely, Everton will move to a modern stadium next season and I guarantee even if they are in the championship it’ll be a better atmosphere because they have fans that are up for it and not routined

If that was is regard to my post then it’s the other way round, yes vardy and mads did get sung for but nobody else did. Mavididi hit a rather decent shot just wide but because Enzo is mentioned the song has gone walkabouts. I notice fatawu chant tried to at one point but because nobody knows whether to keep the original words or some alter it, it just fizzles out. I think the feedback on ufs needs to be constructive criticism rather than a direct attack because let’s face it, without them the atmosphere would be like a friendly. People just standing there talking about what’s happening at the weekends and where they’re going for dinner. Last night ufs wasn’t the main issue, people just go there out of routine and sit on their hands with 20 layers on like it’s a February night and just want to watch the football. I kind of think sometimes you are over complicating the songs.. it needs to be a well known one, everyone knows abba which is why the fatawu one took off, the Jamie vardy one everyone joins in with. It needs to be either a well known simple tuned football chant or a well known old song that can be simplified to a player.. we all know that anything in between with our fans just won’t work. look at Crystal Palace, everyone’s familiar with vengaboys boom boom boom boom and everyone in the country now knows dancing in the dark done for foden.. It’s those songs you need to target. whether or not it’s covered by other clubs, it works.. just some tweaks that’s all..

For anyone who reads my posts you’ll know that I’m most active in this subject and I’m all for the lads at the front.. you’ll also know I probably repeat the same old thing, but when I say the song book needs updating, tonight absolutely proved it. i actually left early tonight, can’t remember in all the years whether I ever have. But from 87 mins and them rolling around on the floor I just couldn’t watch anymore. within the first 10 mins and for come on Leicester boys to start was utterly embarrassing. 10 mins into a derby match, the kop end was silent, the east just sat there knocking their clappers, nobody could be bothered. People want safe standing but if that’s what’s going to happen with just people slouched against the railings then why bother? im a massive fan of the lads down the front, they work non stop, gear everyone up and really do try BUT and there is a massive but after tonight, they’ve got to listen to feedback from others. They are over killing the songs massively and with that drum going constant it’s difficult for half way up to change the song. i ain’t sure whether they think the section will join in more after the 20th time of the chant? I really do like what they do but fans are suggesting songs in the topic but nothing new is coming out. I do get your trying the new ole song about the top 3 leagues but for the 10 mins and only 5 rows, me and a few others singing just behind you but the ground was silent? what’s more embarrassing was apart from Jamie vardy who scored, mads Hermansen who made a save I don’t think any other player was sung.. Going to leave it there but sorry lads, tonight was a massive disappointment.. the whole kp was a shambles but something has to change. I get it that grounds are suffering but if we are around 20% of atmosphere on a night under the lights against forest then there is no hope..
