What we said on here end of last season that was going to happen has happened. We’ve lost half the song book and it showed Saturday. A good few songs have gone, many player chants wasn’t used and the new one was circled around a small handful of the ones left over. I do believe that Jordan ayew one will belt around the ground when he bangs in the first PL one, it’s simple but effective. We need more like that which everyone will join in with.. in fact we need a bit of an overhaul. can anything be done with the mavididi chant which was a crowd favourite?

This conversation will keep going round in a circle in this thread, and it has been mentioned many times before. I admire everything ufs do for the section, the club and for its fellow supporters. But to be fairer to some others in the section who will actively start a chant opposed to a couple of seasons back when they wouldn’t so fair play to those people. It’s going in the better direction. I think some fans may have the same opinion as me, and that they know when a chant is being slightly overkill and a new one will be started, in which case the lads will turn round and adjust the drum beat accordingly. I am all for the drum and the different type of cultures they bring into the stadium. It’s just moving along with the times as most clubs seem to be doing it. I think some people in the section need to let loose a bit, get your scarf waving, have a little sing song.. you might enjoy yourselves

Totally agree.. I’ve often came out of there thinking it’s been quite a good atmosphere, to then get home and read comments such as ‘all we could see is a couple of rows of lads waving scarves’

Thank you so much for the recommendation on bql sports. Ordered my boy the home strip for this season a week Friday just gone, last Monday it said despatched even though bank holiday and it arrived today.. first inspection, great colouring and looks identical. Only thing is it’s printed with bc game and the bia saigon logo, if I was to criticise it would be to order two sizes bigger.. I ordered one size bigger but he likes the room.. but either way for £14 for shirt, socks and shorts it’s a win win.. cheers @damolcfc

I know the result was a bit hard to take today but thought from previous games the section was a bit on the quiet side. Early days and I had to look at the songs thread to catch the new ole ole song (couldn’t quite make out what was said after won the fa cup) but that could really lift off when more join in.. any updates on fatawu chant being changed? keep slogging away people, we need more vocals to get the lads over the line because home is where the points need to be collected..

Correct, it’s just the way the noise travels to ears, and sk4 won’t be able to hear much of the section. What’s pleasing to hear is now some of the ground are now catching on and trying to continue the noise. So if we love you we love you started somewhere, last night the family stand would continue the tune but not the words I don’t think anyone would expect there to be a vibrant atmosphere in the family stand though..

Gutted I wasn’t in the section tonight, but financially it’s a strong hit taking the boy now so I’ll have to pick and choose the games in the section. But from a distance it looked decent and tifos were superb so credit to all involved. Sound wise unfortunately it has been mentioned the acoustics are appalling so I didn’t hear much of the section at times but comments are saying it was decent.. I did notice the fatawu chant was started a few times but went quiet towards the end, has it been altered? Anyways good stuff and look forward to being in the section for villa 2 weeks.. not sure what it is about L1 but I don’t think I could bring myself to go in there I just don’t know why

I’ve only been lucky once in years and that was away at Preston it got down to members anyways with ease so really I felt a bit robbed

Has anyone seen tete has just scored in the 89th minute for panathinaikos to take their tie against Ajax into extra time.. made me smile when I saw 13 appearances and 1 goal for Leicester.. I was there when tete scored for all the people at villa that day
