True but these so called big teams are keen from time to time to gamble with unproven managers. Ole was a big gamble, Arsenal backed Arteta and gave him time, Chelsea took an unsuccessful gamble with Potter. There aren't many (proven) managers around, most of these big teams recycle the same ones. Enzo comes from the Pep school like Arteta.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking about that because I posted yesterday ManU might go after him and I was laughed at. I reckon he would turn down any job offers from the classic mid table downwards teams. It depends on his ambitions and confidence. ManU are a mess, he's a Pep "apprentice", probably he would turn down a job there. Idk if he would turn down a Chelsea job though next summer.

They've had a National League North quality manager (Ole) in charge. What makes you believe there's no chance they'd go after Enzo? -

At least this result keeps ETH in job. I have a bad feeling they might knock Enzo's door if ETH gets the sack. -

That Bissouma guy gets a yellow card almost every single game. He's on a yellow card even at the dressing room putting his boots on. -

No surprise they're currently sitting 5th in Ligue 1. The French league though is quite strong this season. Lens is just above the relegation zone. -

Unlikely even if they manage to qualify from the group stage. PSG is ManU material. A proper joke of a team with influencers instead of footballers. -
Where in my post I got pissy with you? If you were the VAR official it would be better. 😍
-
The ball went out of play for a throw 23secs after the check. He could have bypassed the stupid rule and stop the game again. It's not only about following stupid rules when the integrity of the sport is in stake. Investigation must be extended by opening bank accounts of the refs and members of their families. Or is it only Toney who was gambling?
-
What you're saying is that the sport is fully corrupted from top to bottom. Klopp knows the big publicity of the incident will result to having future decisions in favour of his team. He doesn't care about the sport. A fine around 3M and a ban of 6 months is suitable for him then. I was under the impression the Premier League body has strict rules for managers criticising refs and officiating in general.
-
Let's bin VAR but don't come next season posting here and complaining when the refs butcher us against every single "Top 6" team. Yes the problem isn't the technology, it's the incompetence of people using plus some rules (handball) which they don't make clear to keep their corruption going on.
-
I don't like him or Liverpool but he said a replay would be a good solution, he acknowledged though it's unlikely to happen. Did our board or managers say anything when we were getting butchered by these corrupted clowns? No.
-
My opinion is that video replay should be part of the sport but with more competent refs and people using the video replay. All other sports have it and it's working well the majority of times. I get it that some other sports are "turn based" but without video replay there's room for more corruption in football.
-
Maybe because they want it to be like you describe? It's not a secret this sport had and has until now the bigger scandals of corruption, even at the top of the pyramid, compared to other sports. It's not only rugby which uses way better the video replay system, there's the pinnacle of nearly perfect use at NFL. What is baffling it's the fact these sports are more complex than football and have more physical battles and rules for penalties. There are so many ways to improve VAR use but for some reason they don't want to implement them. They don't even listen to the fans, they're on their own elitistic clouds destroying the game. Why they don't give the option to managers to challenge certain ref decisions during the game? For example each team can have 3-4 challenges per half for any decision on field. These challenges and the use of video replay must have also live audio communication so the fans will be able to listen. It happens in NBA, NFL, almost in every other sport.
-
One of the issues is that the people who use the system don't have any logic, common sense and the majority of them don't have a clue about this job or football in general. It's even worse when you realise they're paid thousands per game. The VAR job should be open to any citizen of the country, not only refs, with a logical and not excessive salary. For most people it will take just a 1h training to learn to use the system. Everyone should be able to apply. Do they think at PGMOL, FIFA, FA etc their incompetent corrupted refs are rocket scientists or nuclear engineers? The elitism is destroying this beautiful game. They're behaving like a cult, they're all wannabe dictators. The more power and exclusivity they have the more our beloved sport will be destroyed. We fans must unite eventually. A weekend boycott from all football games must take place. Let them play alone, let them feel like idiots including all these spoilt footballers who are embarrassing the sport with their behaviour.

This will be the end of the movie. 10yr anniversary lifting the PL trophy again.

Exactly. This is why I've posted that Enzo knows about these mistakes and he's definitely going to show Hermansen on a video what happened and which were his optimal options. The nature of Championship (46 games, inconsistency etc) provides Enzo more room to work with his tactics and be risky. In fact, at least at this point of the season, PL is more tight at Top 6 compared to Championship. As things go right now there's a big chance PL top 6 will remain tight unti 12th or 13th round. -

The manager knows about these mistakes and the risk like you and me. As it stands he probably knows also these mistakes will rarely cost us a game in Championship or at least the team has the potential to recover from them. I'm sure Hermansen had today a video review/lesson and further advice how to react in certain situations. These mistakes will be severely punished in PL but it's common sense Enzo knows that. -

I've seen a lot of this kind of posts lately. Some of you simply don't understand the concept of this specific tactic. I can understand it might feel stressful for some of you guys when you're watching it unfold but trust me it really pays off in long term during the games. There are some elements you don't see behind this tactic. It's not a coincidence we're scoring late goals. I'd suggest you read some articles regarding this football tactic and you might change your opinion. Enzo isn't stupid, he knows the quality of the players otherwise he wouldn't even think to implement this tactic. I'm quite sure he also has a 3 year plan at least and the Championship is the best place to start building on this. I hope I'm not overrating/overestimating him but I think he's already making plans for the future PL team. He decided to stick with these tactics against a team like Liverpool, there's a bigger plan going here guys and it looks exciting. This post might come back to bite me but there's always a possibility we'll come back strong to the PL. -

In fact if I was a fan of any other Championship team I would be frustrated by knowing that one of the two automatic promotion spots is around 90% a done deal by a team like ours. This is a team with good players, either experienced in PL football or talented enough to be competitive in PL. That said, if Enzo takes seriously the FA Cup and we have a clash against an average PL side we'll have a better picture where we're standing especially tactically. -

Judging by the PGMOL statement I don't think it happened this way. If that's the case eventually, everybody on the VAR must be investigated starting with their bank accounts. -

Very serious injury of the RKC goalkeeper just a while ago and the game vs Ajax is abandoned. Hope he's well but it's a bit worrying there's limited information and updates right now. https://twitter.com/i/status/1708224732292632742 -
