What do you mean by my overall stance on the game? I'm nearly 50yrs old, I support and play this game since the 90s. Sometimes I even offer myself to the Leicester board as a real life manager for laughs. Alongside others I'm fully entitled to criticise the game and Miles. I don't get what you mean. This game, believe it or not, was part of my life and I'm telling this in a positive way because even though I had extremely long sessions playing it decades ago it didn't affect my social life. So If Miles&Co want to kill the game like this it's sad. I own a console but as mainly a PC user this UI is just the middle finger to all of us supporting SI for decades. There's no excuse for Miles and because the pre-orders hit a record wait for the 4th November. The backlash will be huge and I won't be surprised if the game even is pulled out of Gamepass.

While this is true, the SI legacy match engine code was reworked to fit Unity and it seems the ME is now even worse than before. There's a great video on YT where someone exposes the ME with facts for 2 hours. Tactics simply don't work, it's all running on rails with pre-defined game results. Idk what Miles is doing. Why on earth did he decide to actually kill the franchise? If he wanted to go the KONAMI way he should have been honest at least to the community. "I'm downgrading the game for handheld devices to reach more casual consumers". Personally, I don't even care about the 3D engine. Give me the classic 2D one with tactics that actually work. Leave the rest in my imagination which is way better than a 3D match engine.

As it stands any team with 3 straight wins can climb up the table drastically. The table will stabilise way later than last season imo. -

Forest fans thought the team bounced back because they won against a Portuguese team. The last time a Portuguese team won in England must have been pre WW2 (or WW1?). I can't remember. -
So BR available tomorrow?

They probably realised the majority of the modern defenders lack of intelligence. In every single game a couple of them go to instant panic mode when the ball is in the box and their positioning is awful. Direct football was always the most efficient way to play the sport. Quick ball touches, through balls and intelligent runs into the space is how football should be played. -
https://frvr.com/blog/football-manager-26-lead-confirms-new-overhaul-will-have-issues-as-you-cant-expect-20-years-worth-of-quality-in-a-brand-new-experience/ Oh well. I don't regret refunding it then Miles because I've paid nearly 30 years for every iteration (including CM) and I expect the quality to be there. I paid again this year to support the company even though the game will be available in a few days via the subscription service I have. This is a massive failure and it will become even worse with the huge wave of refunds on 4th November. Not only the UI is an insult to all PC users but it looks like there's no coding of any decent cpu AI related to tactics which means the game is a walk in the park for everyone. I guess their audience now is 10yrs old console kids.

I agree. Strictly by the "modern football" rule might be a pen but come on. This would have never been a pen back in the 80s,90s or early 00s. Not even a foul. -
The fact we can't find a striker even 100 times worse than Vardy is depressing. Everybody we have is 10 million times worse than him. Our scouting team needs sacking immediately tonight.

I posted mid week in the CL topic that Liverpool are now a classic Dutch team. Slot had more time to implement his ideas and this isn't a good thing. They play like a Dutch team, there's no structure in midfield and defense. There's no press on the opposition when out of possession and the team is softer with the players they signed. Ofc all their games will be entertaining because of this style but I'm quite certain Slot will be sacked soon. -
It doesn't matter if he plays 3, 4 or 5 at the back. This team is the only one in the whole universe without a natural striker. I watched Andromeda Bignoses vs Mars Eatheads the other day and they both had strikers on the pitch.

In all seriousness, because unfortunately the board will not offer me the job, we need a feisty manager, someone who won't hesitate to show the exit door to a dozen of these footballers and start rebuilding by playing youngsters. We have nothing to lose as it stands. At least the young ones will show more passion than these sad failures we have now.
-
Imagine having someone like Ange with no strikers and 2 CBs with a combined 10 IQ. What could go wrong?
-
I agree! Let's get Ange in, another wannabe manager, another fraud who has absolutely no coaching and tactical skills. +1 for Ange.
-
If the issue is money I'm available for pennies and I can get us promoted if this is what the board wants. I'm the Simeone manager style so some of our current players are gonna start crying in the dressing room and quit. I'll give them the option to leave the team or, even better, quit the sport altogether. I'm gonna be a fair manager.

This is the issue. Another nice payout. So it's all about money, he doesn't care about the teams or his reputation. "If I fail I'll walk out richer and I have a good agent" mentality which have ruined everything in the sport. -

He has only himself to blame. Taking jobs left and right like it's a videogame. There was no logic behind accepting the job there. Now he'll get sacked before Christmas. -
About the UI. Ofc you'll get used to it eventually but this doesn't mean the design is decent. Far from it. It's very bad, it's not ergonomic, it's not intuitive, it's like an IPhone UI designed by AI. Played 2 games before refunding, ME looks good, not quite sure all my instructions were reflected there but I don't expect this to happen 100%. I've got Gamepass anyway so the refund was a bit easier to do at this stage because the game will be on my library on the 4th November but I can't say I'm not disappointed.
-
And...refunded. Wow. What a complete mess they made with the UI. I can't believe I've just refunded a Football Manager game I'm playing since the first iteration in the 90s.They had 2 years. 2 years and they came up with this abomination of UI and I'm not even certain they haven't used AI for it. I'll wait and see if someone manages to completely mod this farce. Well done Miles. Is this the way to treat your loyal base of customers for decades? Very disappointed here.

We all know what it's happening. We just don't have evidence like the FBI. Families and friends of these professional players are involved indirectly and there's a huge mafia organised group behind all major sports. We know it's happening in football in Europe, we just can't prove it. If people think the same isn't happening in PL they're deluded. Billups and Rozier are huge names there, I can't even imagine what's actually going on behind the scenes in leagues like PL, Serie A or La Liga. The corruption must be 10x times bigger than the NBA in European football.
-
Surely the Scottish league must be one of the worst in the planet right now. Terrible quality and clueless overpaid wannabe managers like Rodgers manipulating the system to get their bank accounts loaded.
-
Billups, Rozier and Jones arrested for illegal gambling and sports rigging via organised crime with mafia connections. More arrests to follow and the case has global depth. This is just the tip of the iceberg ladies and gents. It's what most of us knew is happening in major sports. The corruption is huge, these millionaires (players, managers, coaches, agents, owners etc) are criminals. Not only they're making millions for doing nothing but they want more via criminal activity. The teams/clubs worldwide are also to blame for letting their brand names participate/used in official betting. If I was the owner of our beloved Leicester City I wouldn't allow any betting companies to use the club in any sort of betting activity or just demand 100M for each game the club is used by betting companies. 100M from each of them every week. Some might say I'm exaggerating but I'm not. Betting has killed thousands, destroyed the lives of millions probably yet it's still allowed by the corrupted governments that know what is happening behind the scenes and these governments are practically collaborating with the mafia. I'll probably copy/paste this to a few other topics if this is OK with the mods of the forum.
