Having looked on the blades forum about him, someone recently posted that after having his surgery his achilles has snapped again in a slip. "Been told from someone who knows him, he had the operation to repair his Achilles and it’s snapped again, awful for him, long road to recovery" That might explain it if there's truth in it.
