He's a scapegoat and the ire of many before a ball is even kicked. Though I agree with @whoareyaaa that he's probably a better bet as a bencher to bring on in situations where you're struggling to get out.
He's been fine so far today but people just want to shit on someone. I'd still prefer to see Fats with Mav and Buo all at once, but Cooper won't start that.
Decent half. Could have had a bit more out of it.
People going way overboard on Ayew. Still, I'd like to see Fats on for him in the second half, especially with JA on a booking. But with a lead to defend I can't see Cooper making that change.
Last season you'd get it, but in those instances where it's open for interpretation the VAR refs have been told to go with the original on field decision. Which was nowt.
Well Coady raved about Soumare in preseason so maybe he shows a lot more in training than he does on the pitch and Cooper has bought into it.
Don't worry.
Calls for Ricardo instead of JJ would be fine if this were a Maresca team but Riccy hasn't looked good in the cups either and it all comes down to the Cooper system and the lack of cover for the advancing fullback. I don't think it would make much difference whoever played there tbh they will be exposed.
As for Ayew, he was never going to play Mav, Buo AND Fats. His midfield setup probably needs Ayew to collect the ball from the mids.
You should never enjoy his face. You should never enjoy his voice. You should never enjoy his persona. Jamie Carragher is a cxxt.
Now say 50 Hail Ranieris and 5 Our Vichais.
Gonna try and take as many positives from this as possible Lose or Draw and we get rid of Cooper (for the love of fxxking Christ!) or we win, get 3 points on the board and things are looking up for a few weeks!
New contract, £60mill buyout clause, relegation reduction to £40mill. Chelsea or Mancs to pay. Maybe even Arsenal, we'll see how it all pans out.
With the Rutter fee, that works out given a keeper can stay for 10+ years.
