  1. Well there's a horrible little rumour floating about that Spurs are offering €25mill+ for Buo. And if that's the case and we imagine that they've got wind that Brighton are willing to sell, then I think we can all put 2 and 2 together and come up with 468, Buo comes to us for a cool £25mill and we get Ferguson on loan. Champions League, here we come!
  2. Fair enough. Though Daka certainly has more movement in him. If a chance fell to one, I think I'd take Cannon over Daka to finish it. But I think Daka is more likely to get on things, because TC just doesn't look all that mobile. And this is why I don't think it's worth bringing him in to the fold. If we need a striker and Daka isn't deemed enough, I don't think Cannon is either. They're both limited in different ways. Or at least that's what they're showing. It'd be mad if RvN could work some magic on them.
  3. No, we shouldn't. He went on a god awful run of form, which pretty much killed Newcastles CL hopes as early as December, got them knocked out of the league cup, then he got injured and since then he's barely featured because he's been bettered. This is just Bertrand mk II. Except he won't be free and he's currently on 120k a week. Newcastle got him in at the right time, squeezed what they could out of him and now he's in that precarious position as a 34 year old where you don't know if he'll ever be fully fit again, regardless of whether even at 100% he's still the required standard. He's been out for 1/3 of this season with injury and he's been a benchwarmer. He might be able to play out of position for Southgate in International football, but the Premier League is a different animal. He'll got to Turkey or something and probably light it up for Mourinho.
  4. Is he going through a purple patch though or has he just improved that much? At 13 goals he's already in his best scoring season.
  5. He's already played more minutes in the Championship than Daka did, both scoring 7 goals in that time. Daka getting more assists. Though Daka did of course play in a superior team. I don't think there's any clear indication he's better. French Ed, I'll give ya, but we're wanting him out anyway aren't we?
  6. It's still too early to tell if he's a decent championship striker, let alone stepping up to the Premier League. 4 goals against the rock bottom club, 2 pens and a nice goal against QPR isn't much to go on. Fans of Stoke seem to think he needs pairing up with someone. They also seem to feel that the teams being held back by the manager so it's not necessarily on him that he's not bagging in more games. Leave him at Stoke. I think there's more upsides to that than bringing him back to perform cameos.
  7. In the video it's largely (all?) players who didn't start the game on Saturday. So a bit unfair to kick their arses, though I'm sure they don't mind anyway.
  8. Zirkzee just bagged a brace in Amorims first league win. He's not going to be an option.
  9. @1.13 That's not a good look
  10. Quite disappointed that the video doesn't start with him accompanying that cxxt to his car.
  11. Yeah but the Ruud awakening will be in full swing by then. So just the 8-1.
  12. I forgot to say earlier when talking about being better than 3 other shit teams, we might only need to be better than 2. Man City might drop to bottom spot. You never know.
  13. No but we'll send him back because if we want another loan we can't register him. You can register 4 loans in a season but only have 2 registered at a time. So if he's not registered, he's dead weight. And so we can't have Maguire and Chilwell on loan, unless you're done with Buo.
  14. A few of us means a few of us teams. Not players. And the point is we're all miles off it. West Ham are relying on 34 year old Antonio, who has never been anywhere near Vardys level. Everton are relying on a perma crock who was left on the bench today and has only gotten to double digits twice in his career and not for 3 seasons. Saints are relying on strikers proven to be dross at this level. The same criticisms we have of ourselves can be applied to other teams currently.
  15. Probably. A few of us need to up our games to get out of the mire. West Ham could be the ones to do that first. They've got a nice run of games on paper. As do Wolves. We're hoping Ruud has that effect.
  16. Yeah. Have you seen Wolves, West Ham, Everton this season? To name a few.
  17. Away would be too far to travel.
  18. So Everton getting their arses handed to them. Another shit side. They're one of a few reasons I don't get why some fans seem to be making out that our squad isn't good enough. It's not good enough to get us Europe, nor top half. Even top of the bottom half, but it's only got to do better than a bad bunch, and that bad bunch is a decent chunk of clubs at the moment. We got dicked, West Ham got battered and Everton are getting totally shit on AND YET none of use are in the bottom 3. There's enough crap in the division that we only need to be slightly less shit than 3 shit teams. And currently there's about 6.
  19. Was holding his hammy though wasn't he?
  20. You'd imagine they'd have all been in regardless. It's coming up to a busy part of the year with little time to instill his ideas. Can't be having time off.
  21. You never know, Ruud might a tactical bombscare but he might work magic in the transfer window and do enough with that. Gonna be an interesting time if nothing else.
  22. My meaning was that they could have been watching anybody.
  23. But why let that get in the way of a good cry?
