Woyo starts for Sassuolo against Inter.
-
3 from JJ is a big positive.
-
Well we'll need to replace him and Winks in the summer, so it's something that might be addressed in January.
-
Oxford have just scored to make it 3-1. First win of the season for them. 8 minutes additional time.
-
Except he blatantly does.
-
Just had a look on their forum. Loan with option around £4.5-5mill they seem to think. They're also dubious that the club will have the money. Be interested to see how he goes.
-
I think saying the red stands just means he'll serve the suspension not that he'd be ineligible for a replay.
-
Is he? A cursory glance says he's scored 2. No assists in the league. So he's on par with Riccy. Is he doing well in other metrics on the likes of Fbref or something?
-
I'd rather they didn't if there's a possibility we could nick Hayden Hackney off them if we went up. Fantasy stuff.
-
Shit league.
-
I think the question is should he keep his starting spot over Monga given it only seems to be the latters age that's keeping Mav in the 11. How long does he get to come good?
-
Well his loan is only until the turn of the year so maybe the idea is if he does well step him up to league one if possible?

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
JimJams replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The trouble with the idea of Ayew playing the Firmino role is that role requires the two wingers to be driving into the box to play off and make opportunities for themselves AS WELL AS and probably more importantly, the fullbacks getting in on the attack with overlaps to create distractions, draw cover, provide crosses and on occasion be the man at the back stick for over hit crosses meant for the 3 forwards in the box. Your midfield 3 is better comprised of a 6 and two 8's (which suits Winks most imo) to squeeze the opponents and cover laterally for the attacking fullback. Then Ayew can play the more withdrawn role with the wing forwards and even fullbacks getting further forward than him. Trouble is our fullbacks stay at home. Ricardo is the only one with any attacking nouse. So defences only need to worry about being beaten 1v1, and so they can double up on the wingers, crowd them out, and there's no ball on to play with Ayew. Or any other striker in that instance. Cifuentes at present isn't getting attacking impetus from the fullbacks nor the midfielders. He needs to get one set of them contributing going forward. Given the midfield options we've had don't have goals (or even assists) in them, then we need to be getting the fullbacks going up. They don't even need to be scoring and assisting. If they just provide options and draw defenders to them we can turn our wingers into goalscorers, or at least give them the opportunity to exploit the space. -
Doubt it very much. Would be great if he did, but it's league 2 level. This time last year Cover was getting rave reviews for his performances at Port Vale in league 2. That dried up, he went Fleetwood, barely got a kick and he's in our u21's this season. The jump is massive.
-
If you want to take positives from today, and possibly one of the reasons he gets the nod is he did cover back and do the defensive work when required.
-
I dunno, is there precedence? If you headbutted a guy and got sent off for violent conduct it's not going to be dismissed if the game is abandoned. You still nutted someone.
-
Not only that, but surely with a red card meaning a suspension, how does that work if the result is in limbo?
-
They're on the pitch clapping the fans and giving shirts out. It's not just for the rain is it?
-
Norwich striker slips from point blank range with just the keeper to beat in the 5th minute of 5 minutes stoppage time. All over. Wrexham win.
-
Shit keeping brings Norwich within one of Wrexham. 3 minutes to play.
-
Sheffield Utd brought Soumare on on 89. Goal down on 90. It's genetic!
-
Monga should play instead, but if he's not getting starts because we're protecting him or something along those lines, then you could genuinely whack Ayew in that position and we'd get more from the left wing.
-
To be fair to him, you're comparing him to someone who, without injury, would be comfortably plying his trade as a regular starter for a Premier League side even at 31. But it's true we don't have any fullbacks capable of doing what Ricardo does. The options are very underwhelming.
-
Disagree. He's never really "good". He's either average or crap. In the only game this season where he did anything of note going forward, in which he scored a great goal, he was at fault for both goals scored against us.
-
Always will when he's coming on for Ricardo. He's just not good enough at anything.
