How does that work out to him needing some coaching? Has he got to learn to beat 2+ players every time now then? Surely what needs to happen is Marti needs to give him options and support from other players. If he's being doubled up on then someone is open. He's not been "found out" unless the term just means he's incapable of beating an incessant wall of players whenever he gets the ball.

Well he's captaining the u21s and was featuring pretty prominently in preseason. But not at LB.

We're not really playing with an inverted fullback, it's just that the fullbacks are pretty much staying at home. It's not like Hamza is dropping in next to Winks to allow JJ to move forward. Choudhury and Thomas are just both generally wank on the ball. We get very little from them other than being bodies on the pitch.

Positives were the midfield trio, Winks, JJ and Reid all linking up and playing well. And although Daka is allergic to endangering an opponents goal, he does work better than the other options. Or he did today anyway. Negatives. First half, shite from the fullbacks. Second half, the removal of two of the games best players in JJ and Reid being replaced by shit. Also we've given them the opportunity to score. Vestergaard should take care of that and we're still 1 up. It's like Jakubs fxxk up when he got all tangled up, at least he just put the ball out and played it safe rather than trying to be clever with it. We've been complacent. Hamza and Thomas both did it first half. Vestergaard and VK did it second half. Sloppy as fxxk.
