Yep. I don't get the whataboutery. If Ayew scored every time he touched the ball he'd be our best player. If Soumare made tackles, scored goals and played the ball forwards he'd be our best midfielder. But they don't. So they're not.

Well to be fair the performances warrant what they got. If you add a couple more we're in the automatics. We've got what we've got and we are where we are. Sincerely, Captain Obvious

And reading isn't yours. You, as well as others, seem to read a post and conjure up meaning that isn't there. Inventing your own narrative and ignoring what has been said. If someone says anything that doesn't confirm your exact thinking, you spin off on a tangent making up shit and straw manning, arguing against points that were never made. I said he had a bad game in his only appearance for us this season. And while many people would argue that's a matter of fact, you seem to think saying it means I'm suggesting we "Hang him out to dry". If you don't act the sycophant then you're treated as though you've got some sort of vendetta on a player. I can see the positives in using Nelson. I wanted him to start the season for us. But I can also understand why a new manager with little time to work with the players gave the nod to others. Maybe he remembered QPRs away game to Oxford last season when they scored 3 with Nelson at the back and wasn't impressed. Perhaps he just thought it better to put two players together who had played together the season prior, despite it being a total fxxk. The point is he could only play 2 and go from there. As it stands we've had Okoli start the first 5, he now looks out of favour. Faes has only started 3 games, he may now be out of favour. Vestegaard seems like the only nailed on CB as he's started every league game. So there's an opportunity there for Nelson. If he performs when he's required then he'll displace the competition. If he doesn't he won't. Cifuentes has to achieve promotion. That'll be his target. Whilst developing Nelson among other players would be desirable, it would also be a bonus. If he thinks that playing Nelson right now isn't worth the risk because he doesn't think he's as good as his other options then he won't take that risk. He played 17 games for Oxford last season. The highest level he's ever played. He's still in the early stages of his career. I can understand why Cifuentes doesn't think he's the answer that some of our fans do. Whether I agree or not. In terms of him telling us where to stick it, I have my doubts that players would be quite as eager to jump ship as some expect. Though that's pure conjecture.

Saints beating Boro!

This is where comprehension has not been your friend. I didn't say Nelson isn't allowed to fxxk up his auditions. I said he did fxxk up his audition. Are we in denial of that? Did you watch a different game? I'm stating what happened. You seem to be confusing what did happen with your opinion on what should happen as a result of that performance. I then did not say he's of weak mentality to stick around. I said if he watches the teammates that are currently ahead of him fxxking up and his thoughts are that he then wants to move away, then he's of weak mentality, it should spur him on to prove himself and take their place if he has confidence in his ability. Almost the complete opposite of what you've construed from the comment. The last bit barely qualifies as English so if you want to translate that for me, that'd be a help. Then I can help make it make sense. As it doesn't seem like you read the post.

Last u21 game I saw he was playing wide though. Is he gonna get the chance as a striker?
-
There's no way Evans gets a go up front for us. Not saying he shouldn't. I just don't think he'll get that chance this season. He wasn't being given a go before we got Carranza in, so I can't see the Argentinian having any baring on Evans chances as a striker.
-
I don't disagree, but he does have to take responsibility for his own part in that. He was given a chance to impress against League one opposition and was an absolute bomb scare. It definitely feels harsh to put limits on him based on one awful 45 minutes in a makeshift team, but that's what he's been given, and that's how he performed. As Pliskin says after the Faes mistake yesterday Ben should be put into contention.
-
If he watches them fxxk up and thinks to himself that he wants to move, then he's got a weak mentality. He should be thinking he's better and he'll show it. In training and in his opportunities. He fxxked the last audition. He'll get another. And then he's got to make it count. I think he will. Of course there's going to be frustration if he feels he's not being given a fair crack, but like I said, he fxxked the last opportunity. More will come around.

At present we're getting by on having better players. I've said it before, he needs to decide who he wants to support the wingers. The wings are undoubtedly the position we have our best attacking players, even with Mav out of form, though much better today I thought. But we're not giving them a chance to shine. There's no support from the fullbacks, and playing one 8, generally means there's no inside runs from the midfield either because they're staying at home to help protect Winks. Scrap the 10. Doesn't help with the strike options. But he's got to find a way to get the more threatening players into dangerous areas, and we don't.

Marti needs to wake up. We have no system. We're shit.

2 MINUTES FOR THE WIN!

REID!

At least Soumare is trying to get forward to support the winger with an inside option. Just a shame you'd have fxxk all confidence in him doing anything with it if he did receive a pass.
-
Fire the fxxking set piece coach.
-
You wouldn't want him on the end of anything would you? Best guarantee.
-
Set piece muck.
-
Mav much better today. He'll be disappointed of course but he's done well enough with what he's had.
-
Fxxking hell, Bouba got a bit enthusiastic there and made a forward run at pace.
-
Shitfuentes! AMIRITE?
-
1-3. Mark my words. Or conveniently forget them if this doesn't happen.
-
Thought Riccy was on for his 3rd there.
-
Good from Mav there. We just don't get onto balls in the box.
