  1. You can almost hear the home fans singing "This IS a Library".
  2. Seems like the Saints local rag has deleted us from the Championship table. Not sure whether they're just being salty, or think we're in a league of our own.
  3. Can't see anyone penetrating a defence containing those three.
  4. It has to be Hutter, if only for the comedy value. Then, even if we sink like the Bismarck, we ca still have a chuckle.
  5. Probably misheard someone mentioning Buddhist monks.
  6. Get Adolf in. Goodbye Rodgersball hello Goebbels .
  7. Great choice. Storm the league, then conquer Europe.....
  8. OK. So by November, I probably won't be arsed, so I'll get it out of the way now. PARKER OUT!
  9. It will be interesting to see how it works out. When the Yanks get involved with "proper football", anything can happen. Look at Chelsea for example.
  10. Calm down everyone. It's only been 2 weeks. # We'll be fine.
  11. He doesn't have any, in fact he doesn't even exist. It's just a random name the club puts out there for us to direct our abuse at. Then on match day, they stick an inflatable dummy next to Top to complete the illusion.
  12. Really pleased to see towels banned. Saw it a lot last season in the Championship. Wasted loads of time just to hurl a long throw into the penalty area, which should nearly always have be given as a foul throw, but never was.
  13. They maybe skint, but they got the final cost of the stadium badly wrong. As for Covid, everyone suffered, and none more so than King Power. The vitriol towards their chairman from the fans is off the scale compared to ours towards Rudkin and Co.
  14. Absolutely right. The man's a charlatan. Still telling everyone that Kane's not for sale, and only wants to give Brentford half of their valuation for Raya. If he's in for any of our players, he'll try and pull the same stunt with us.
  15. Popped over to the Saints forum last night to try and cheer myself up. Turns out the disdain on there towards those running their club is just the same as ours. Came off there feeling a lot better. Hope they get their man, though. Wouldn't fancy him around here, personally.
  16. It could be their lucky day! I'm sure we could help them fill their vacancy.
  17. As I said, the coming months. He doesn't need to rush. There'll be plenty of twitchy chairmen by Christmas.
  18. The problem we have with Potter is that while he might listen to job offers, he can sit in his garden enjoying his huge payoff, and wait for a whole raft of Premier league jobs which are bound to be offered to him in the coming months.
  19. Exactly this, and that's what makes Rudkin's job safe. If Top were to sack him, who would he turn to for advice on a new DoF? He could hardly fire Rudkin and then ask him who he thinks should replace him!
  20. I find the list of usual suspects really depressing, including Vieira, Lampard and Gerrard. I wouldn't be opposed to Smith and Co continuing if we can't find a better alternative. At least they know who's likely to stay, and they know the set up, so could hit the ground running. However, I think we should try something radical like Burnley did, and approach Van Nistelrooy. Obviously unlikely to take the job now that we're relegated, but if you don't ask, you'll never know. After all, he can only say no. It might be a gamble, and may not be popular with a certain player, but I'd like to see us make an approach to Cambiasso .
  21. We've got 99 problems but the pitch ain't one. Dance of the Cuckoo's. (Laurel and Hardy theme).
  22. Think we'd be better off with Albert Pierpoint.
  23. Your own Harry Souttar!
  24. Exactly this. If the Castagne chance had gone in, we'd have been calling it a Smith masterclass, albeit in shithousery. Whatever other teams do on Sunday, we still have to take care of our own business, which is not a foregone conclusion.
