It would be interesting to know, if those fans who are unhappy with the appointment of Cooper were for / against Enzo at the end of the season?
-
Well said we support the team not a particular manager
-
For all those that favour direct football, who would be a modern exponent of that style in the current premier league and an ideal candidate for The Leicester job?
-
Sacked by Hull for playing boring football
-
I'm not, if he's not good enough for Hull why's he going to be for Leicester

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
trooky replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
We're all ready facing a points deduction and we're not going to reduce our losses from £181 mil to £83 mil by selling KDH to comply, so we should just keep our assets accept the punishment and try to secure enough points to stay in the league. -
That's a good shout, Woy Hodgson
-
Chris Wilder probably achieved more finishing 9th with Sheffield United in his first PL season.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

They've already had precedent of a club coming out of nowhere and winning the league. Jack Walker and Blackburn did the exact same thing, it was just cheaper back then. I object 100% to these PSR rules and hope Man City **** the premier league because it prevents a club like Leicester from competing with the entitled top 6 who think they have a divine right to protect their cartel and keep out the 'smaller' clubs. We have our PSR issues with losses of a round £200 million but the rules prevent King Power from investing that amount in the club to clear the financial losses on the PSR balance sheet. Instead the EPL will deduct points, they will not look on us with compassion either because a 'smaller' club dared to challenge them and win in the courts earlier this year. -
He was announced 16th June '23 which is quick IMO.

We didn't last summer, manager and players sorted quickly.
-
Which could be 45 before the points deduction
-
Good point, we can live in hope. Maybe the points deduction will unite us😂
-
Whoever we appoint, and whatever tactical approach they favour we need to get behind the manager because it's going to be a real dog fight to stay in the PL this season. It wouldn't be realistic for fans to start demanding we sack them if we're still bottom in January either, because if we survive it will be a bigger achievement than the great escape.

A bullshit idea that most of the PL top clubs have employed at some point this season🤔
-
Sacked by Hull for playing boring football, so no thanks.

The worst think about Enzo leaving is Rudkin will definitely remain as DOF. What this club needs more than anything is a new strong DOF that can implement a longterm blueprint, a style of play, player recruitment, tactical philosophy starting from the academy upto the first team Rudkin allowed Rodgers to sabotage everything good about the club at the time, meaning Enzo had to start again. We can't afford to waste money on good players that don't fit the next manager's system, who are either loaned, don't play or sold at a loss. Managers are short term, the DOF is the most important person at the club and we're stuck with Rudkin for the foreseeable future.

He established West Ham as a top half team and won a European trophy in 2023
-
I agree but we're talking about Chelsea so they might just decide to waste another £50 mil on another centre mid 😂
-
The target is obviously to stay in the PL but we have to be realistic this could be an impossible task, so we need to appoint a young long term manager that will manage in the championship. Corberan gets my vote. As an absolute minimum the club has to sort out it's finances this season so if we go down we're not facing points deductions in the championship to give us the best chance of going straight back again without more points deductions once PSR is replaced at then end the 24/25 season.
-
I hate Chelsea for poaching the manager of a newly promoted team, it's hard enough to stay in the PL without this happening. I for one thought we stood more chance staying in the league with the current manager than having to rebuild from scratch again. I guess we'll find out the state of the clubs finance's pretty soon, i.e can we pay compensation for our new manager or will we be employing an out of work manager.
-
Yes but we had the best championship squad in the history of the game and if Enzo was any good and tactically knew what he was doing we would have won every game 3-0 without conceding all season.😂😂😂 My unborn child could have got that squad promoted, he's a ****ing fraud.
-
Vile club with absolutely no class
-
At least we'll have time to appoint a new manager who can decide on the the futures of Vestergaard, Ndidi and Vardy etc. before their contracts expire. It would have been a disaster if we re-sign the above on Enzo's instructions, only for him to piss off to Chelsea in July and for them all to be surplus to the new manager's requirements.
-
Usual insane reactions on here, Chelsea have approached Enzo not the other way round. He's done what 99% of young ambitions people would do in their career if they've been headhunted by a leading company. He's had an interview, so what. It's not like we're a stable option at the moment with so many unknowns regarding FFP, transfer funds etc.... a fanbase that doesn't appreciate your efforts, tactics calling for your head when your top of the table.
