  1. Why? They've taken us to league 1 oblivion, absolutely clueless. No revisionism will ever be required with these 2 clowns.
  2. Yes a quick check with AI and the only teams playing long ball 442 are Wycombe, Burton, Rotherham, Northampton, Port Vale(352) and Wimbledon. Only 1 team finished in the top half, 11th the others were bottom half with 3 of them relegated. Most teams play 433, 4231 or 343, 6 with a slow build up, 3 who got promoted and the other 12 mix it up with a certain directness in getting the ball forward quickly but still try to play decent football.
  3. How many teams actually play robust 442 in league 1, I'm not sure it that's many, Cardiff, Bolton or Bradford off the top of my head certainly didn't. The problem with Martin is he's a terrible people manager, his tactics are inflexible and he refuses to admit he's wrong. I personally don't see a problem trying to appoint a manager who wants to play decent football, just not Martin
  4. I just don't get why anyone would want this self serving ****, always punching above his weight, Lucy Pinder, Rangers, Southampton and now being linked with Watford, Blackburn and us. The latter clubs owners should all fail the fit and proper owners test if they're considering hiring Brussel, basket case clubs the lot of them.
  5. Maybe the tactical genius 😂 realized how shit our defence was and the only way to not concede so many goals was to keep ball and bore the fcuk out of the opposition.
  6. The rules should have sanctions, then they wouldn't need to waste so much time resolving matters of PSR or this for example. Middlesbrough wouldn't have the opportunity to demand that Southampton are kicked out if the punishment was clear. It ridiculous that Southampton fans are buying tickets not knowing if the match will go ahead, Middlesbrough are still training, the game could be postponed etc.... It's not fair on Hull either, not knowing who they'll play. It's hardly a major offense, when you consider teams scout the opposition during games. This is farcical, if the punishment was clear the game would go ahead and it could be dealt with over the summer when the media circus has died down. The football authorities aren't fit to govern.
  7. Yes, apparently they introduced a rule but not a sanction to go with it. That's why their is so much speculation about the punishment.
  8. I don't agree with any kind of financial rules applied to football, especially limits on owner investment because it just prevents the growth of clubs. With the current ongoing farce of spygate and the fact they never put any sanction in place after Leeds, the EFL would be better placed sorting out the existing rules.
  9. I don't think anyone realized how divided and low on confidence the squad was after RVN stint as a manger.
  10. Definitely Winks, Vesty, Okoli, Kristiansen and maybe BDR. They're all under contract but these have to all leave the club. Also Challinor has never finished below 8th in 15 years which is quite an achievement at any level.
  11. We would need to move on most of this current first team squad, because they won't respect someone like him. They all consider themselves better than the level they've taken us too🤔. If that happens then Challinor would be a good shout, he's managed over 800 games, done well at every club and knows League 1. He would probably jump at the chance to manager Leicester having spent his entire playing and managerial career in the lower leagues.
  12. All the signs are we'll make the same mistakes as last pre-season going into the championship. I don't understand the lack of communication from the club and indecisiveness. We should have made a statement after the Blackburn game, thanked Rowett for his service and wish him well for the future so at least the fans know we're looking for a new manager. Instead we have this void, Rowett talking in after game interviews how he would like the job full time etc..... Ground hog day again that ends in relegation to league 2🤔
  13. Don't understand why we're interested in Ferguson, he's only had 3 promotions in his long career, most recent being 20-21. Peterborough weren't good this season.
  14. Yes, I agree we need a man manager and somebody who's able to reset the standards, create a team spirit and restore authority over the players. This current group of players seem to have gotten away with so much recently.
  15. Nelson Jardim was Newport manager for season 24/25 finished 20th with no budget, are we saying he should be considered for the Leicester job?
  16. Maybe but he's not ready for the Leicester job next season, maybe after another season if he gets Newport to the play offs. Wellens, Savage or Lennon are all much more experienced than Fuchs and ex Leicester but no one wants them.
  17. He was very good up to the injuries and one good season under Maresca but we should never have offered him a contract extensions because the last 2 seasons have been woeful.
  18. Presumably we still need to comply with PSR though? Although It doesn't exist in league 1, the wage bill is limited to 70% of revenue for relegated clubs. If we're promoted back to the championship then I expect we'll be back under the PSR rules. The last 3 year accounts and the £71 million loss for 24/25 will come into play then. At some point this board will have to stop spending, there is no escape from our losses.
  19. King was a title winner, from the same era and also won league 1 and the championship but he didn't win a single game as a interim and was also responsible for the debacle of a pre-season for the laziest team in the league that resulted in a relegation because of it. Kingy's not done us any favours, there's no room for sentiment in football. Fuch isn't ready and won't get the job in a season we have to get promotion at the first attempt.
  20. Its not the same club anymore
  21. Hardly the same calibre, Fuchs 31 games 29% win percentage in his first job. If he wasn't a title winner and affiliated to the club he wouldn't even get a mention on here.
  22. I've not got anyone in mind because I'm not a DOF. Hull City as an example, they got Sergej Jakirović from the Turkish league, and had managed Dinamo Zagreb before that. He's managed 342 games, 57% win percentage and got to the playoffs with a transfer embargo. We've a new director of football, he needs to earn his money and find someone similar, it's possible.
  23. But we can still do much better than Fuch, he's not ready for Leicester yet.
  24. In hindsight yes, but we would have failed PSR twice if it wasn't for the court win and have avoided bigger points deductions by fighting, but the team have been abysmal for the last 2 season which is down to Rudkin. We over spent trying to stay in the PL 24/25 but that squad was never going to be good enough. We should have recognised that, our pointless token gesture trying to support Cooper with the Skipp, Okoli and BEK transfers has put the club future at risk with another £71 million loss in the latest accounts. The club would have been naive to think that the PL wouldn't take that decision lying down if we won the case, and would try to get us in the future. So to fail PSR this season is a disgrace and beyond belief to be honest, we've made so many mistakes. I can't see how Rudkin and the CFO can keep their jobs never mind get promoted. Top is a cretin.
  25. Plus lost £300 million in the last 5 years. We had the arrogance to avoid PSR punishment on a technicality, but failed to comply the following season by the transfer fee we paid for Skipp, incredible incompetence.
