I think that’s the most impressive thing about him. He’s made a hell of a recovery

He won’t be our starting winger not a chance. He’ll be an option off the bench and rotation to start with. I’ve seen nearly all his minutes at Cardiff and today was definitely one of his poorer displays. Get him in a side that actually look to attack in numbers and can keep the ball! I think he’ll do just fine. Need to remember it’s his first senior loan after an ACL injury.

I wasn’t discrediting your opinion at all I was just curious as to how much you’d actually seen of him. I disagree that he’s bang average. He’s shown more than enough for me that he can do it at championship level. He’ll 100% be part of the squad next season

He always looked comfortable when he played last season. I think he can be even braver on the ball too. Look forward to him being here next season

Bottom line is this is his first senior loan straight into a struggling championship side who let’s be honest are pretty hideous. He’s recovered from an ACL injury too, this loan was all about experience and fitness.

100%. We’ll be playing potentially 50+ games next season. Last championship campaign we had nobody to challenge Mavididis spot in the side, Alves will be a great option off the bench & for rotation.

I’m desperate to see what he would be like in a side that actually has a sustained spell of possession. I’ve watched nearly every minute of his loan and Cardiff really struggle to string a few passes together Im still massively encouraged by what I’ve seen from him since January. Should he be a starter next season? No probably not straight away but he’ll be a great option. I’ve always rated him highly so i admit I’ll be biased at times haha.
