Maybe it’s people in general? Go to a gig and I don’t think they are the same either for atmosphere, people with phones out etc. I personally feel so far detached from Football, the prices for tickets, the way these players rate themselves as godlike, a stadium referred to as ‘in bowl’ and by the sound of it a new PA Announcer that’s utter cringe. My last men’s home games were Napoli, Warsaw and Moscow, I’ve not missed it one bit, I can sit on the sofa in silence just like the seat in the stadium only I’ve still got £70 in my pocket at home!

Sad news, a great commentator, never got tired of hearing him.
