  1. Swedish mostly. Useless. Denmark just beat both them and Norway, so we should only sign Danes. I’d go Norway near the Swedes!
  2. 3-1, Kristiansen with the aasist
  3. Really? I think he’s quite composed on the ball and very good defensively
  4. Just scored vs Norway - a header after a corner kick. 2-0.
  5. Danny Ward ?
  6. We need to keep the Danish take over process going. Bo Svensson who saved Mainz from relegation would fit well I think.
  7. That’s bison in Native American languages isn’t it?
  8. Only because they’re injured and, in Kjaers case, hasn’t played for months. He would never start if Kjaer, AC and Andersen were all fit. It will be very, very interesting to see how he does at the euros though, especially vs England. I like him, but he is a weak link in transitions against and he always seem to have a brain fart in him losing the ball in dangerous areas.
  9. For Denmark Maguires chances of starting would be formation dependent. In a back four he’d never start ahead of Andreas Christensen and Joachim Andersen. In a back three he might start ahead of Simon Kjaer, but I doubt it if Kjaer was fully fit. The rest would 100%
  10. Yes, changing nationalities is a potential undermining factor, but still quite rare. The rest is part of the charm I think
  11. International competitions are the only chance to watch the best players in teams that can’t be bought. The last reminiscence of true high level football. Love it
  12. Chelsea are already after another Danish keeper - Jorgensen at Villarreal. Interesting to see if that changes with Enzo
  13. Of course you can. Clever positioning and cover from a quick cb beside him for example.
  14. It’s fine, but would be nice if opinions took reality into consideration though. Maybe he won’t cut it, but he did in the past for many years so “lambs to the slaughter” and other such phrases are just ridiculous
  15. Exactly. It seems like people don’t read the thread and just post their gut feelings thereby repeating the last 100 posts. So tiring. Vestergaard has played in the Prem for several seasons and in the Bundesliga before that ffs. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll fit in our team next season, but it’s not like he’s a glorified league 1 player. Step up people!
  16. Feels like this discussion gets nowhere. We all know that Vesty is slow. The question is whether his strengths outweighs his weaknesses - even if some in here seem to exaggerate the former and disregard the latter. I’m confident that if he stays Enzo has a plan for him. And, as said before, it’s not like he hasn’t ever played top level football 🤷
  17. You’re right, no bias here at all 😂 I, for one, am grateful to all our players - even the Belgian ones 😉
  18. Wonder how the other teams felt when we won the Prem then 🤔
  19. I agree that they’ll probably not beat 9th, I just don’t think their results this season are bad considering their injuries. The fact they managed to stay in the Prem with one of the lowest budgets and so many key players out tells me that they are a very stable, solid club and well coached team. So maybe their not on an upward trajectory, but it’s certainly not downward either IMO.
  20. Better than 16th most likely. They’ve been extremely unlucky with injuries this season and they’ve missed their best player for half of it. Don’t you think you need to consider circumstances at all?
  21. Brentford has probably had the worst injury list in the PL - their entire back line was out for a long period as was some of their best midfielders. Add to that Toney’s ban and you can’t help but be impressed with their results this season. Also, since they got a couple of their starters back in the spring they’ve been on an upwards trajectory, so I don’t think you’re right about that.
  22. Exactly! This “he’ll be found out” is laughable - as if the other clubs suddenly wake up and realize he’s not Van de Veen. All players have strengths and weaknesses, the question is whether they fit your style of play.
  23. And you’ll flash them as soon as he makes a mistake, won’t you?
  24. Really? Without a doubt? That’s bold, considering some of them are doing very well. Thiago Motta recently praised Kristiansen and said that he reminded him of himself at Barca, for instance. But if you feel that confident and follow every one of our players on loan that closely, who am I to question your wisdom 🤷
  25. Agree 100%. These days everyone talk about attackers being the first line of defense - the opposite is true for us as well. And JV is an integral part of that. He’s been the best defender in the league in a team that might break the point record. And he’s played at the highest level for years with some success before joining us. The problem is some fans will be on him from the first game blaming him for everything from every goal conceded to bad weather and soggy fries.
