  1. 100% pal. If he doesn't get a loan and isn't in the squad at the weekend it'll be a travesty.
  2. Alves needs a chance this season, I'd already take him over BDR after his first 2 showings this season. Real talent.
  3. No one gives a fiddlers f**k about The Olympics when it comes to footy, pal.
  4. Promised him a better club and in walks Leicester City FC.... The poor f****r.
  5. An Olympic medal is the footballing equivalent of a star on your badge if you work at McDonald’s 😂
  6. So like I said initially and you just agreed with, Faes is our best option at centre half as none of them are better.. And by the way, if you're good enough, you're old enough. Okoli is 23 - Colwill at Chelsea is 21, Nedejlkovic at Villa is 18... Both playing. We got there in the end.
  7. The point you decided to miss on the first swing by this still stands, none of them would be good enough to start for Belgium, should they happen to be Belgian. Faes is, and does. Interestingly enough, that's probably also the reason he starts for Leicester City, and they don't... Debast and Theate also both get in ahead of all our other centre halves, so that point is moot as well.
  8. I wish you'd stop saying this, mate...
  9. Haha or their respective nations, left the door open there. The point still stands, at this moment in time he is by far and away our best option at centre half.
  10. I mean, who's better..? Does Coady, Nelson or Okoli start for Belgium?
  11. Be careful what you wish for... Admittedly, he ain't the greatest. But what he is, at this moment in time, is our best central defender. Certainly from a physical attribute standpoint. Under no circumstance, 5 days before the window closes do I trust the powers that be to get a replacement of a higher level than Faes through the door. Not happening.
  12. If only Jon Rudkin showed half that desire to get anything done…. One can dream!
  13. I think what I said was fair mate to be honest. We haven’t got the luxury of 10 games, especially with a looming points deduction. It’s down to the manager to find something that makes us effective is it not? Have you seen that today? Was that what we’re going to get for 10 games before we change tact? Because if that’s what you’re suggesting we do, we are going to be almost adrift, wouldn’t you agree? Not sure how it’s my master plan that matters here, rather just wanting the manager to give us something to at least cling to in the final 3rd. If we aren’t going to have a go at winning the game we’ve got to be really hard to beat. Today we’ve not had a go at all and undone ourselves defensively. That’s not a good combination. Our current “tactics” and team selections seem to suggest we are trying to nullify the opponent rather than play to our own strengths. BDR, Ndidi in the current role, Ricardo nowhere near and a couple of other areas aren’t filling me with a lot of confidence we’re going to create much of anything. Other than 1 move today and the chance Vardy missed at Spurs we’ve been decidedly poor going forward. Where do you see that changing?
  14. Ten games..? C’mon pal, you know as well as I do if you’re that shite for 10 games in the Premier League your race is run.
  15. Haha after 45 mins I was probably there with you.. At 90 I had a sliver of hope.. decimated after today! 😂
  16. The sooner you realise under Cooper it isn’t about what a player can offer in terms of hurting the opposition, rather what they offer to prevent them hurting us, it’ll be easier to comprehend the ridiculous.
  17. Is this really where we are after 2 games..? 🥹
  18. Break the f*****g bank for the man. After watching 20 mins of Ayew I don’t care if it bankrupts us, we deserve it.
  19. Well, more questions than answers after that. Attacking wise, we are an absolute abomination. It honestly looks like we’ve forgot to even mention what we might do when we’ve got the ball. Just clueless. For all the good that was the 2nd half against Spurs, that was every bit as bad. Very, very worrying. Also, those who defended the Jordan Ayew signing, you may need to lay off the heroin when watching football. Abysmal.
  20. Let’s be fair as well, if Ipswich go down as many predict they will, that team will piss the Championship.
  21. The more I think about this the more likely it becomes that we are lumbered with a 33 year old, not prolific, workmanlike player in the Championship on Premier League wages. Where is the future proofing in signings like this? What happens if we can’t survive this year? How are we meant to cut our cloth accordingly with players like this on the books. At the very least it could push us towards having to sell an actually saleable asset because I can’t envision teams queuing up to relieve us of Jordan Ayew from the wage bill should the worst happen. We’ve literally learned nothing.
  22. Sounds great, but it's 99.9% likely b******s. I want to take Margot Robbie out to dinner in a brand new Lamborghini. Chances of that happening are higher than Jon and Top getting 2 attackers in before deadline day.
  23. All cost us a combined fee of what..? That's also in a time without the PSR noose firmly tightening around our neck. Apples and Oranges.
  24. That isn't writing them off before they've stepped foot on a pitch though, is it? This isn't a player coming from an unfamiliar league we need time to assess and see how they settle. Jordan Ayew is a known quantity. This is looking at the decision making involved in a deal to sign a 32 year old with a very average record to a reported 3 year contract for 8million quid + whatever we throw at him in wages. At that point, unless he comes in and has 15+ goal involvements and we stay up, it's very hard (nigh on impossible, actually) to make the case for this being a remotely good deal for us. There's a reason we are the only side in for him.
  25. Gave the ball away alot though which in the Prem is key, inlcuding a very poor flick when they broke and Faes had to scythe someone down to prevent them being in on the near post. Can't fault the effort levels but technically I still think he's someway short.
