  1. He has done OK so far and he does need to put points on the table. Cooper is a little belligerent with the press, comes across as a tad mardy and outspoken but there's nowt in football for good losers. Like him or not the next 6 games will show us what kind of manager he really is and he knows that too.
  2. I'm quite a positive fan and it's my first game at the KP this season, really excited to see us play. How we set up against them is crucial because there work rate will be high and something we need to match. Cooper will need an attacking threat and some scrappers in there too to combat the energy they'll bring. They will look at us and expect a win themselves. Absolutely brilliant brilliant podcasts and thank tou so much for them.
  3. You're right, I actually think that we have a decent group of players. My main point was that a disturbing amount of our fans think that we should beat Everton as a matter of course.
  4. Take it with a pinch of salt my friend...Us old boys don't get so excited/blinkered.
  5. Mate DCL has scored 16 goals in 4 seasons, injuries I know, but he's poor. Says more about LCFC if he takes home the match ball on Saturday.
  6. Slightly worrying that a lot rate us better than Everton. They stuck 2 past Villa, had a few other decent chances in that game and know that a win will leap frog our 2 points. Harrison and O'Neil are better players than anyone at our club.
  7. We'd have been on the end of a couple 4.0 spankings with Enzo this season, just saying.
  8. Coopers last chance on game 5? Glad you're not in charge, there isn't that many managers in the world. 😂
  9. I stand corrected sir. I personally think he wasteful and a bit crap but a lot of prem strikers are. Jackson, Nketiah and Daka are more athletes than strikers. Still love Vards on top form.
  10. Exactly what I said to me pal on Saturday. Huge pressure on Everton but they can score a goal. DCL is just the worst striker, an absolute fraud.
  11. Well yes you're right of course, away form does count, maybe year 1 and then the following years should be regarded deferently. I'd take ugly survival based on home form this year all day long.
  12. It is but the excitement Cooper created at the Forest ground was unbelievable, he kept them up and revolutionised the club and it could happen here.
  13. What part of, it's a big ask to make us competitive in the prem, do you not understand.
  14. Well he did keep the florists up and that's his remit for us this season. Our players being comfortably good enough is a huge statement for a returning Championship team, out of touch, low on confidence in the top flight.
  15. Very sensible thought process sir! What could possibly go wrong with getting another manager? Everyone shits the bed don't they?
  16. You're probably righter than me, we just don't seem to move managers on is all.
  17. I disagree...Cooper will prob take us down and then back up. What's the problem with sticking with your manager long term...I know Rogers was kept on to long but considering the success he had it was understandable. Chopping managers doesn't guarantee anything.
  18. Absolutely, but we saw a confident team on the front foot, with a chance to go in 3 up at half time and the Championship winning team hanging on with a low block. Cooper didn't set us up that way and the players saw what a bit of pressing and belief can do in the 2nd half.
  19. No we haven't but only confident, winning sides get to impose their style upon a game, belief is motivation.
  20. They're more a settled team but we're competing...could have been a couple down at half time
  21. Players do me head in sometimes. The same players came out in the 2nd half and showed what they're capable of, as opposed to timidity of the 1st half. The team could have gone down 4.0 and Coopers a dick but they drew so Coopers OK. The more I watch football the more I realise that you win games between your ears not with your feet.
  22. Can see your point 100%, only that they don't seem inclined to ride the manager roundabout. For me Steve Cooper is a great long term manager and I absolutely agree with the doom mongers about short term disaster. It's time to stick with him and put right the mismanagement behind us. There is no quick fix I'm afraid.
