But they have thought about replacing Enzo. Steve Cooper remit- Do the best you can this season Steve and then get us promoted in readiness for the 2026/27 season back into the Premiership by which time our problems will have been resolved. He's here for 3/4 years nit gone by Xmas.
-
We can see what's slowly unfolding but was wondering what their long game was, you can bet they have a 1, 2 and 3 year plan, stupid not too.
-
That's true too but what if the long game is to keep Cooper, no matter what, get the books, fair play etc finally sorted, get relegated and then Cooper to get is promoted with a clean sheet and a bit more optimism going forward. A lot of ifs but it's better than struggling to achieve to much this year.

Spuds will thrash us, but we're not expected to finisher higher than them, so it's another pre season look see to me. Most all Championship teams take a while to get going so strap yourselves in for a slow and painful start.

What are your expectations for next season?

Love LCFC with a passion, we all do, but enjoy the season also. Fir me Enzo, kompany and Forest will be interesting to watch, Liverpool after Klopp etc 😀 -
Sums up exactly hiw I feel

I think that Cooper may be more pragmatic, bringing in players, this time around. The scatter gun approach with Forest, kinda did work because they stopped up and, and didn't because there squad looked chaotic. Personally think we have a well rounded/experienced manager with something to prove.
-
Got to be extra careful with the youth team, like all players not playing, they can appear better than they are. One thing for sure is that they are more mentally/physically fragile than experienced pros. Steve Copper has had 5 years with the best under 16/17s in England, he knows enough to use them properly. I'm so looking forward to this Premiership season with Cooper in charge, he's got good experience, and a lot to prove. He's a hungry manager and his own man. Not an idealistic sycophant trying to copy greatness.

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment

Agree 100%.....And our squad has had a year to knit together. We could do rather well this year. -

Pretty soon Forest will be struggling, Cooper will be doing an amazing job at city and we'll dick them 4.0 at their place. And they still love him. -
Again probably not. Sometimes it just clicks with the most unlikely manager, even the ones who aren't sure if they want to be here in the first place. Potter absolutely wanted to join Chelsea and Chelsea absolutely wanted him.
-
Sorry don't agree. Why start the season with so much unfounded pessimism.
-
You we're orob saying the same before Claudio arrived
-
Have to agree that Potter is overhyped and will arrive with such high expectations that it could probably hinder his progress. Maybe a good Championship Manager would be more enthusiastic to prove himself.

From a lad I've been a Forest intense disliker but something strange happened recently. My lad met a lovely girl and her entire family are Forest season ticketers, of course I told him she's no for you son, but they're entire fanbase showed such devotion, love and unity to the Forest cause that I couldn't help but be impressed. The loyal reds were actually clapping and cheering whilst losing. Obviously Forest are a deluded bunch, as I'd originally suspected, and i continued to wind her family up. As a true blue absolutely should do. Meanwhile I was being torn apart by the Rogers and Top love in. Lightbulb moment. I'm not happy but the dastardly Forest are. And on further investigation they have been happy with their journey too. Finally, I exploded calling them knob heads, living off your double European success way back from biblical times, but secretly I do admire the Forest supporters and genuinely dislike some of the winging babies that call themselves Fox's.

Low budget manager, sell on players and remember our winning formula. Thinking that we are bigger only leeds to high wages and unrealistic expectations and then relegation, and then the pain.
-
Yes, yes Stevie Coops fir me
-
Buy the right player at the right place and move him on for a big profit....YES and it went tits up for us because we stopped doing that and pretended to be Chelsea.
-
Can't agree that Chelsea are profiting at all, they are fairly unsuccessful considering the outlay and are again taking a huge gamble on Enzo. Potter was a more rounded manager than Enzo and put together they haven't had Poch's touch and ability. Chelsea pay over the odds for mid table finishes
-
Chelsea sack him Xmas ish, Enzo walks with 30+ million, perhaps ge smarter than we thought
-
Did Rob Edwards do a brilliant job with Luton? I think so but they did bottle it a little towards the end. He would be my 1st choice but I could be wrong.
-
I'd take Rob Edwards in an instant
