Match vs Derby County will be shown live on ITV
James and his giant peach replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I remember one Sunday afternoon eating my roast and spitting my Yorkies out at the sight of Spider Kalac throwing the ball in his own net twice v West brom away. Luckily we had ran rings round them in the first half to lead 3-0 and still won. Jimmy Greaves and Ian St. John ITV Sunday's, Soccer Am on Saturday's and Football Italia on Channel 4, great days. -
Lack of transfer activity

How on earth do you try and sell utter garbage like Soumare Vestergaard Coady etc when they are on 80k a week and haven't played well for years. No team will touch them. We have landed ourselves in this mess and that's why I have no excitement at all about the new season because I just know Page, Golding, Evans, Aluko, Nelson etc will be watching on as Justin, Skipp, Coady etc grace the pitch on day one. Utter rancid set of players which I'd banish to the reserves. -
The bottom end of the Bundesliga is not as good as the Premier League, far from it.

Is no one else really worried after watching that? What is essentially a half decent championship level team beat us easily and could have had more goals? I tell you now if the likes of Vestergaard, Coady, Skipp are still stinking out the side on day one then it will be a long season. Get Nelson in, get as many of the overpaid tripe out ASAP the team and whole place stinks.

But they will have the same results if they keep playing this way. We will lose this series, India are better, and Australias bowling attack will wipe the floor with us too. No one is saying change the confidence the attacking style but use your head. When you ten mins from lunch, Brook has tried to launch one into orbit and got out, Crawley gets out the same way each game, Pope bats his first 30 balls like a tailender, changes to personnel and playing to the situation need to brought in, and players especially in the top order need to be held accountable.

Real awakening here. Stupid t20 batting doesn't work in test matches against good sides. Indias batters when they are aggressive like Jaiswal and Pant look much more assured, and on the whole their side look much better than ours. India will get these runs to win with their eyes closed. Play like this in winter and it will be another embarrassment.

Massively optimistic. You clearly are unaware that players like Souttar, Hamza, Vestergaard, Winks, Ayew are on upwards of 60k a week for no reason at all. We had one of the highest wage bills in the prem let alone the championship, we ideally need to offload way more than 2. We probably need to sell BEK and or the keeper too to bring in funds.

If the guy is on low wages and been told there's no money and still wants to come here then I'm fully on board. Don't know much about him at all but will back him and hope that our exciting academy lads with a mix of class from Fatawu, Ricardo etc can make us have a good season. -
No they didn't at all. No one I know wanted him from day one and there was never any support for him at all.

I know it's only a training session and it's the first game etce etc etc but you can already see we have nothing upfront. Loads of possession but nothing to show. If we approach the season with Daka and Evans then God help us. -

Did anyone else find Winks insufferable in the YouTube video showing the players back in training? Looked mardy, angry, and like he genuinely didn't want to be there at all. Compared to say Abdul or Riccy, just a totally wrong attitude. -

Below par score, shambles of an innings really after getting 70 off the powerplay. Will have to bowl incredibly well. -

This happens so many times where the batting team gets a giant score of 600 and then the opposition are on a hiding to nothing. The bowling first and chasing only works IF the opponents get around 400 max, OR you get a good start. Like here, England know really they have to get around 500 to even get a draw, it demoralises you straight the way. Flat pitch, rip up the script and bat first. Runs on the board is the way to apply pressure, then it really doesn't matter if the pitch is a road or not, you are forced into mistakes. At least a big defeat might bring them back down to earth, get Archer in and maybe Bethell for the Lords test and freshen things up.
