  1. Rather than blaming a player for missing a penalty, I would rather blame the relegation on the manager who simply gave up around Feb time and those above him who didn't act to replace him.
  2. A couple of wins and this thread goes quiet. These must be one of the worst owners in the country.
  3. That's all really positive. And with defensive cover returning it opens the door for the Belgian toilet brush to move on in Jan.
  4. King Power/Top/Rudkin have missed a once in a generation chance to establish us as a top 6 team by squandering millions and millions on shite and then paying them well over market value in wages. This financial mismanagement has ended up with the club being handicapped operationally and with an incoming points deduction. Some fans think we should be chill about it though.
  5. Lets say King Power era. As a newly promoted club, Skipp was our statement signing - along with Bilal. A big chunk of our budget went on him and he wasn't good enough to start games. We got relegated. That makes him a bad signing. When you add in the 5 year of financial commitment which has contributed to PSR breaches, it is not comparable in any way to the bottom 5 names on hour list. The top 3 absolutely are/were terrible signings.
  6. So the club couldn't have told us that? "The hearing has concluded and we have made a strong case to have the charges overturned. We will update our loyal supporters further when a verdict is reached." Communications to fans isn't so much about giving us information but more letting us know they haven't forgotten us. That they care.
  7. Maybe when the hearing is taking place? Or have i missed that?
  8. Still comfortably in the top 5 worst signings in our modern era but he is an honest professional and a decent to good Championship CDM. Just a shame we brought him in as a Premier league player at 5x more than he is worth and paying him 5x more salary than he is worth.
  9. I'm loving the way the club is keeping us in the loop on this one so as to minimise our anxiety over the inevitable points deduction and when it may land. Great work.
  10. As long as he isn't on 30k and as long as he isn't on a contract that goes past June, with maybe an option for a 2nd year if milestones are met then why not? The way I see it we don't have any effective centre forwards at the minute.
  11. That was That was the first City shirt I ever owned and I can still remember the way it shimmered under the floodlights on night matches. Just beautiful. Oh and the old white wall in the background
  12. True but even if we are not signing anybody, someone in place to handle the sales and the contract renewals. Then there is future recruitment, scouting networks, loan pathways, refresh Seagrave staff. Loads to do other than purchases.
  13. I understand recruitment takes time but I think the fact it was announced in November would suggest something was in the pipeline othewise keep quiet until the end of the season. We were as good as relegated at the end of Jan so a revamp of operations could have been started then to give them plenty of time to get someone ahead of the summer window. They must have been happy with the structure or not given it much thought until Whelan left. Clown show.
  14. Absolute shambles that a month has now passed since news broke about the plan to revamp the off-field football operations with no appointment, no timeline, no update. Transfer window opens in 2 weeks and we will be making signings (maybe) with the old set up. Typically slow and indecisive way of conducting business which will have a knock on effect for the club's future.
  15. Centre backs are all about partnerships & also the dynamic with the no.6 in front. Lurch looks much more comfortable with Nelson next to him and Skipp in front than Faes and Winks. That block he put in just after they scored was fantastic.
  16. There are still question marks over some of his decisions and whether they players are executing his instructions but deserves credit for the way the team have played since the first half against Sheff U. The players are definately playing for him. He deserves credit for (finally) playing Nelson, for figuring out that Winks & Faes are the toxic twins, getting the best out of Lurch, Skipp and Reid. He has struggled with his subs but the squad is very thin and not many options available to him. If we can get Ramsey back so we have 2 no. 10 options, get rid of Faes & Winks in Jan and then help him with some actual signings then things will look good.
  17. Wolves fans collectively protest. A sizeable chunk enter the match v a high-profile opponent 15 mins into the game. They get decent media coverage and then days later the club react. There is a way to do it that doesn't involve arson but we simply don't have enough fans who want to protest.
  18. The fact that this is just another open-ended, not linked to any time limit decision tells me everything I need to know about the people who own and run our club: they have learnt absolutely nothing and they think we are idiots who will swallow up and be apeased by anything they say. Don't give them another penny.
  19. What we really need is a leader at the top of the club. We have a spineless nepobaby who specialises in failure and inaction.
  20. I really wanted this one to work out. I like the way he is willing to engage and be open with fans which is refreshing after being treated like a non-entity by the club, but it seems he is short of the required level. His game management is very suspect and his ability to get the best out of his players is average at best. Have we won both halves of football in the same match this season? It doesn't feel like he is able to get us playing for 90 mins.
  21. The Flemmish turd brush has been found out. Winks too.
  22. Incoming None Outgoings Faes = A good transfer window.
  23. There is only way out of this nightmare: Aiyawatt sell the club. Everything else is just prolonging the pain
  24. Someone mentioned it today about things going really pear-shaped once Winks and Faes were starting games again. Any fresh optimism was swept away then. It seems clear that Winks has checked out again and Faes is just dressing room poison. I would love to know what his win loss record is since he joined and how many clean sheets. They must be terrible figures. Any rational manager would keep him away from the first team unless desperate
  25. He is out of his depth but it is clearly a very, very difficult job with limited ability, limited funds, huge wage bill and a toxic attitude from players who think they are better than they are. We would need a really good manager and I would have absolutely no faith they could find such a manager. Our club has become a total and utter shambles from top to bottom. A rotten symbol of poor decisions, incompetence and arrogance. It's heartbreaking.
