  1. There isn't FFP in League One and two. It's totally different rules. That's why both of them were able to spend a massive amount on players, for instance Stansfield to Brum for 15m. The problem is they have tightened the rules since then. Now you're only allowed to spend 60% of income in total on players including wages and transfer fees. The bonus is if whoever is in charge of a club can put as much as they want into it as a gift but even then only 60% can be used to cover expenditure on the players. Considering 1m for a League 1 player is a lot of money it wouldn't take much to put a title winning side together.
  2. That's what a lot of us did when our old owners took us to Northampton for our home games πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ It made boycotting home games more bearable.
  3. Administration certainly could happen as the current financials are not known and also how much more he can afford to lose. But I can't see him sacking a manager if he was on his way out. He could take the route of Wednesday and not pay the wages of the players on massive wages so they become free agents but that would come with another points deduction. A year or so of pain or just keep kicking the can down the road. Your club won't fold. It's too big. The normal problem is the worse the position the worse the people interested would be.
  4. Isn't it you? Certainly came on here saying is taking the piss.
  5. Or the realisation of what next season holds when bang average players like Dykes and Kone choose to go to smaller clubs like QPR and Charlton.
  6. That's the thing. You just don't know what your next owner will be like. We are lucky with our latest owner. Not a billionaire but he has a few quid. A businessman who runs us like a business. We're about cash neutral in the transfer market but he covers our losses. We now own our own ground for the first time in 25 years. We don't sell any player we want to keep since selling Gyokeres and Hamer and get a good price for those we do sell. The fit and proper test for owners is a joke.
  7. No. He is on there to try and take the piss. I'm here to have a conversation with the decent people on here. I take it you do know how to block me. As I have said before I do go to some of your games with family members. I also know what it's like to have owners ruin your club. We went from an owner that put us into debt then got an owner that was much worse. Yet many think getting rid of Top will solve all your problems.
  8. Oxford were not very good. They didn't make a decent scoring opportunity all game. But what they do have is every player giving 100% and putting their bodies on the line. Nearly the whole game was in their half especially after the red card but we had 24 shots and half of them were blocked. If they continue to play this way they will continue to pick points up.
  9. πŸ₯°β€οΈπŸ₯° If you could understand what you read you would understand. Still love you though 😘
  10. It's good to see that nobody cares about us at all as is always said on here.... We have solid home form but have been poor away for a fair bit. Yesterday showed that Oxford have what you're missing. They might have only had 26% possession and just 4 shots and none of them came close, but they have balls and fight all the way to the end. It was total 1 way traffic with 24 shots for us, but 12 of them were blocked. We had over 50 touches in their area but just couldn't score. Fair play to them.
  11. The rules are totally different in League 1. The problem is there has just been a rules change because of what Birmingham and Wrexham did last season. Birmingham spent 15m on Stansfield alone. Your owners could put as much as they like each season without a problem, but they're only allowed to spend 60% of money put in and brought in by the club in player related expenses. That means now they would have to put 25m in to be able to pay 15m for a player. The rest can go towards the academy, ground improvements or similar. But that's much better for you if Top still has money to waste because you're only allowed to lose 39m over 3 years in the Championship. You must be close to that after just 1 season.
  12. You're lucky that Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn and WBA have all imploded at the same time. It won't take a lot to stay up. All you have to do is win a game before they do.
  13. Are you being serious? Going into a division having players that don't care about the shirt, earning as much a week as your opponents full squad but they give 100% each game? Can you see them wanting to perform on a wet and windy night away to Bromley? I remember when it happened to my club. We were also like a rudderless ship at the time and thought it would be a season of fun. We ended up in League 2 and even struggled there. It was only a late run that got us to 6th and luckily we won the playoffs. Be careful what you wish for.
  14. It shows how poor we've been for so long to be able to make a comment like that which is true....and we're only in the Championship πŸ˜‚ Just show me once where I have made any comments which are out of order. I have my reasons for being here and am always respectful. But of course others will gloat as that's a part of football rivalry. It's like those who try to say there's no rivalry between our sides but if you ask them which games they want to win the most they would choose each other.
  15. That's the point the 'happy clappers' need to understand ASAP. Maybe after the last few days reality will have hit home to some. As I have said before my family is split down the middle with support for Leicester and Coventry. I go to more Leicester games than many on here as it's a good day out with family members. You will never get 100% behind the cause as some will never be able to separate owners and the club. But for as long as it's reasonably comfortable for the owners nothing will change. The journey has just started and has a long way to go. But whatever you still need to support the players at the same time as having a go at those ruining your club. But even that's difficult because of the players just going through the motions and collecting the wages they do.
  16. Giving it the big one? When you get stupid questions the answers look stupid. Rivalry? If we're not in the same division next season the rivalry will be over until we are.
  17. How about right at this moment? We had to limit our season tickets to 26,000 and have also reduced the away allocation to give us more tickets. Our STH's put their tickets on a platform to be resold when they can't make a game and they sell straight away. Our ground is too small for us. Not bad for a side that hasn't been in the Prem for 25 years. It was only 10 years ago you won the Prem. You also won the FA cup. Brilliant times for your supporters. You were in the Prem just last season yet your supporters are disappearing already. Losing 1/3 of your support in less than a year and you think it's not going any lower? Yet you question the supporters of other clubs. You had better hope you stay up this season. Teams like Wycombe, Mansfield and Exeter won't bring many and even more supporters will give up. How about an exciting away game at Bromley? You turn up expecting 3 points bit get outplayed.
  18. They would get relegated with 3 years of Prem payments. The 100m would go a long way to sorting things out.
  19. OK I will humour you. How long do you think we had been protesting before we went down to 6,000? Do you really think the occasional protest at home will work? A lot of our supporters started their protest early but most ignored them to start with. But once they put us into administration to break the contract with the arena, giving us a points deduction and taking us to Northampton for our home games, realisation hit home. SISU chose the administrator and started a company under another name and kept us after administration. It was easy for them as there were no football debts. They did it all in the hope of getting the arena for free. The next time they took us out of our city was when we played our home games in Birmingham. This time they did it to starve London Wasps of money as they got the arena for cheap so SISU couldn't get it. Most supporters didn't follow us there either, but strangely enough we sold out every away game as soon as the tickets went on sale, just like we did all the way through our protests. In the end it made no difference as it was then 2020 and all football stopped. When we eventually went back to the arena many supporters didn't come back straight away. But when SISU finally gave up after 20 years of obliterating our club we came back and with a new generation of supporters. We were lucky to have Robins as manager who dragged us back from League 2 to the Championship when constantly having his players sold. So let's get things back on track. How many of your supporters do you think would do a full protest and stay away from home games? Away games are fine unless in a cup. How many years do you think he would continue to put money into your club to keep it going while still keeping everything within FFP? Protests only work when the majority of supporters get behind them. You’re nowhere near this as most have stopped going because of the poor football. Most will be straight back as soon as you get a decent manager and start winning games again.
  20. Why would I have wanted to be on here when we were in League one and League two? And FWIW I'm not in favour of punishing supporters for what owners have done, just like I'm not in favour of hitting clubs with different points deductions when they're skint that then relegates them putting them under more financial pressure.
  21. For those blaming the FL and/or PL for the points deduction hanging over your club....if you took the punishment the first or second time you would have been able to be in a much better position now. The problem is that the clueless idiots ruining your club decided to kick the can down the road in the hope of getting more Prem payments. I still stick to what I said on here last year. They will make the punishment as watertight as they can before trying again. They will now wait to see if the punishment will stop you from getting into the playoffs or aid relegation. If neither is the case any points deduction will come into force next season.
  22. Our home record is excellent. Our away form has become very poor. But our signing of Onyeka will be announced soon. Just what we need to settle our midfield.
  23. Ipswich have only won 1 away game in the last couple of months. They only just scraped a home draw against Preston with a late penalty yesterday. They now have 5 away games on the bounce including Wrexham in the cup then immediately after in the league. There's a good chance they will be out of the top 6 by the end of the month if they don't start winning away, especially if Derby beat them at home next weekend.
  24. Some great comments here from those that don't care about us in the slightest πŸ˜‚
  25. Close call. Who is the sponsor of the Leicester shirts?
