  1. Pretty much confirms that even with better players signed it it would still be a dross watch in the champ
  2. 23 mins in the prem last season, can’t get minutes against a league 2 team when your strikers are dog shit, tells us more about the manager
  3. He played games for us there last season plus 21 for Palace the year before and it’s not a given he would be worse, when he plays striker he comes far to deep often in the wrong position whether that’s a byproduct of not receiving the ball enough or just being a shit forward is up for debate. Playing as a winger and doing it would be more beneficial for supporting the play. At the end of the day the club doesn’t have the luxury of buying new players for every position so it’s about maximising what we can out of underperforming players. As per the original point if Fatawu was sold and it meant someone could come in and replace his output or exceed it and that also meant we could get a striker, Ayew wouldn’t have to perform that well on the right to replicate what Mavididi has contributed in terms of goals and assists if the left side of play become the focal point instead.
  4. Yeah the same position he played games in the premier league. What’s your point
  5. Reeks of limitations on further deals
  6. Do your calculations allow for the 22m drop in PSR since the last time we were in the champ? I think many including yourself did these calculations last season and expected us to spend this season. Year one parachute payment is 55% market share second year is 45% third year is 20% So straight away next season there is £7m/8m less income. Leeds went up the second year but sold assets worth €162m which also allowed them to spend €32m Just having the wage bill reduction isn’t going to be enough. Lets hope the likes of Monga, Nelson as home grown or Fatawu can command significant funds because our squad is pretty limited at the moment
  7. 5 goals and 7 assists or 1 g/a every 439 mins I wouldn’t say outstanding, but he has scored some eye catching goals which will hopefully grab the attention of some prem clubs Thomas at Stoke has 9 goals 7 assists from LM despite them scoring 5 less than us this season a goal or assist every 253 mins Josh Murphy played in a pony team last season and would’ve had defenders doing the same and managed 7 and 14. Maybe we should look at Thomas if he is sold and move Mavididi to CF or SS where he has played over 100 games. Ayew on the right wing where he has played nearly 150 or get new players in with some of the funds
  8. Yet Ipswich top goal scoring striker has 6 goals one more than Ayew
  9. Played as a winger for more than half of it
  10. It’s not just about the soulless aspect of the ground though, that move allowed them to be the 9th biggest spenders in the league over the last 5 years. The fans were not complaining when they won their first European cup in 50 odd years. It’s just another case of poor boardroom level decisions and how they have wasted money on players.
  11. Seems odd that this would be unexpected, why have the talks then. Anyway it’s a shame, because he would’ve put a rocket up this lots arse. Imagine Marti doing this “Before the game at Stoke City and the home match against the Foxes, Wilder hung two shirts in the dressing room - a West Bromwich Albion and Wrexham shirt. The reason being that United lost and played poorly at both clubs recently. He was making a point to his players. Remember what happened in those two games and don't let it happen again. "This is what happens when we're off it," he said. "We were off it in the second half against West Brom and rolled over. I really didn't enjoy that. I struggle to hide my feelings, especially when there's 3,000 of our supporters watching. "At Wrexham the goals we conceded were just ridiculous. "That West Brom and that Wrexham shirt is going to go up, and I don't want to see another shirt for a long, long time." So there we go. That's the challenge to Wilder's players. Make sure they only need two hangers for the rest of the season” He can’t even get them running
  12. Training ground up there with Man City, and application like non league. It’s all to easy for them overpaid and protected by a gormless manager
  13. And as punishment for the rest of the season they have to run everywhere in the week whilst at work
  14. Maybe all part of the process, to be seen as diligent but their minds were already made up
  15. Should’ve put as motivated as the players are to run
  16. They probably saw he was a no nonsense guy with a back bone, quite the opposite of what was appointed
  17. That’s all do to with Jo Shields progression at Man City and how he fell on his feet getting to know an incredibly talented crop of youngsters whilst they were hoovering up talent there.
  18. It’s also a fairly large catchment area, and Youth Development wouldn’t be his sole remit What does a technical director do in football Answer the question what does a technical director do in football? by defining the job's primary responsibilities. Football technical directors help football clubs to develop a sustainable business model and sporting identity over a multi-year period. They may cultivate global fanbases to increase annual revenue, design young player and coaching development programmes and manage squad recruitment. Your exact responsibilities can vary depending on whether you focus on business-side or sport-side activities. Football technical director's duties can overlap with those of other football management professions, such as directors of football.Football technical director's responsibilities often include: maximising football clubs' annual revenue setting revenue targets for different operations, such as ticket or merchandise sales negotiating annual player transfer and wage budgets with owners and first-team coaches developing the club's playing style and coaching culture recruiting players and managers whose football skills fit the club's sporting culture negotiating in-bound and out-bound player transfers with other clubs agreeing on shirt and stadium sponsorship deals with brands setting up academies to develop young players forming local or international scouting networks managing relations with sport media analysing commercial performance fining players for breaches of contract
  19. And offer new contracts. Nothing like an experienced man for the job. he was only promoted 8 months ago “We are delighted to announce that Andy Goldie has been promoted from Academy Director to Director of Group Talent Strategy“
  20. Arguably worse, they have made some decent money in the last few seasons at least we have the excuse of being shit with no new faces in the door
  21. Jobs for the boys, yes men that Rudkin will probably oversee all decisions on. At Southampton he helped transition Tyler Dibling into the first-team under Russell Martin before his £40million move to Everton last summer. Talented youngster linked to loads of clubs from a young age and spun like it’s a masterstroke to progress him because of his own natural ability
  22. Is the stat high because he is greedy and creates the shots himself after a take on as opposed to other wingers that pass and the chance may not happen
  23. "Michail got a setback in the training. It's a small injury. It's a pity. That probably means that we will not be able to continue the process we started," Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester.
  24. All Sounds like a load of bollocks, if he suffered a “small” injury it would not have stopped a deal.
