  1. What’s the point playing vardy and daka might as well played extra defender and midfielder and gone for a point
  2. Premature ejeculator Can’t control himself
  3. All that time on the training pitch really making a huge difference. Ruud will be on course to have a similar record to Derby 07/08 at this rate
  4. The manager, the team the chairmen for allowing it to continue, deserve what they get. All useless pricks
  5. That’s the point I was making, you said if there was a transfer embargo we could just keep the players. Thats not possible with a 22m reduction in PSR. I used Leeds as an example as we will be on the same PSR next season, whilst we have an increase in revenue this season we have also had nearly a 50 percent higher wage bill and a current net spend of -€89m and it that profit soon gets eaten up. We also used a loophole last time to aggressively spend to push for promotion and it’s probably why our wage bill was nearly 30% higher than Southampton’s in the Championship despite them selling €187m worth of players.
  6. Including clause last time It was the highest in the division, Just under £60m we have also added a host of high earners relative to the champ since then plus players like Soumare and Victor back. It wouldn’t be possible to maintain anywhere near that wage bill next season. Leeds for example sold €160m worth of players and have still had to reduce the wage bill.
  7. But the disinterested players nobody wants are on high wages and next season we will have the lowest PSR threshold we have had in over 10 years. So hypothetically keeping those players isn’t sustainable
  8. Shame he talks about young players and expressing themselves He would bomb here with these old shitbags

  11. Sean Dyche lands new job away from the dugout just two months after being sacked by Everton talksport host Sundays
  12. It’s on the first page and I have previously highlighted it. On one hand when it goes well, it’s down to the manager, but when it goes wrong it’s all down to the owners. As I said it’s a case of both for the two instances and in recent years the failings have been racking up and not enough changes were made to avoid a repeat of these failures and if changes are not made at board level, expect more of the same.
  13. He was at Bristol City 2 and a half years and then sacked for a poor run. He finished 11th with Hull and they had spent the previous 2 seasons in the PL so were one of the stronger sides. Brady was a few seasons later, and after Pearson Barmby was manager before Bruce took them up.
  14. I’m not trying to defend, the owners. I couldn’t give a shit if they go. But let’s not rewrite history and pretend that everything is down to Managers.
  15. So you say the owners got lucky, but he it could also be argued NP also go lucky meeting Steve Walsh through Big Sams appointment at Newcastle and when that wealth of talent ran out so did his midas touch. As he wasn’t able to replicate success on the same level anywhere else. As I have previously said, I don’t think you can give one Pearson and co all the credit, without the additional questionable sponsorships in 2013/14 we wouldn’t have had the strength in depth of squad to push on.
  16. This is all good in retrospect, but just because we won the league doesn’t mean it wasn’t a hard sell to attract players that would normally be enthusiastic about signing for the champions of England. Not every transfer is going to be a Mahrez, Maguire, DD, Fofana, success and profit. Silmani was heavily linked to Spurs and Arsenal before us. 31 goals in 44 appearances. He was a severe flop in the end. Is that the owners fault? Man united were linked to highjacking Musa deal in the independent when our first offer was rejected. time he was sold he cost €3m Ndidi has been a success. Mendy didn’t settle for the first few years but didn’t break the bank. The following season signing a 20 year old from Man City seemed like exciting good business. Maguire in for £12m sold for £80m Iborra ended up costing £5m Silva on paper looked promising, Euro 2016 winner and played throughout the competition. This was a total mess and the registration process and the clubs involvement no doubt affected the players career trajectory. It’s not like the board held onto money we made from transfers, the funds were reinvested. I don’t see this as a failing of the owners, Rudkin was never going to get sacked at that stage after we won the league and players like Kante and DD being sold were filling the coffers.
  17. In response to the other poster that said they supplied the money and it was all thanks to Pearson and Co. Lots of chairmen just put up money, it went further than that the risk ended up being worth the reward. They could’ve played it safe and stayed within the clubs limits like other clubs did and we might never have been promoted and gone into win Premier league. As we have seen in later years, the punt doesn’t always pay off and we are now were we are because those later punts have failed. Ie the push for Europe/CL contracts and deadweights. In a multiverse somewhere maybe those calculated risks payed off and the team didn’t capitulate twice at the end of the season small margins and all that. I’m not suggesting it has been run well, but let’s be honest lots of chairmen pump money into clubs. Many cash rich chairmen don’t experience 80 percent of what we have in the last 10 years. So they have done more than just supply money. If it was that easy it wouldn’t have been such a remarkable feat Clearly there is a pattern of high risk and reward, but when it fails it fails spectacularly.
  18. The point is, it’s not JUST down to Pearson though. If he was such a miracle worker regardless of a chairmen’s input and squad he would’ve have a host of promotions from the Championship with Bristol City and Hull. It’s disingenuous to say that Pearson and Co done it all by themselves. The screencaps I posted were from https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leicester-city/platzierungen/verein/1003
  19. It was a good strategy because we ended up getting promoted for the first time in 10 plus years. Without those dodgy sponsorship deals in place , we wouldn’t have had the highest wage to turnover in the league and wouldn’t have had the strength of squad we did. whether is was ethical or not who cares, just like nobody did at the time. Just like nobody really cared when we were getting promoted last season and challenging loopholes despite accounts showing how poorly the finances had been run in prior seasons. If people are going to look back at things retrospectively and criticise, then it’s probably best to maintain that stance even when things are going well.

    Great thinking
  21. Lots of clubs finish 3rd 4th and 5th and 6th and don’t get promoted. Finishing there once and getting to the playoff semi final doesn’t mean you’re on way to promotion. if it was that easy it wouldn’t have taken a further 3 attempts
  22. Depends how you define the core foundations, they were promoted from a league that we had never played in, and walked it. As was expected at the time. Nigel done well to get to the play offs the following year. if you talk about foundations to success, it’s not 4 years later with only Andy King and Dyer left from the squad that made the playoffs. Foundations to success for me are those players that went on to do the great escape then winning league. If it was simply down to the Pearson it wouldn’t have taken him 4 attempts. The true test was becoming a success in the championship that needed Vichais money and dodgy sponsorship dealings to push on and get promoted. In 13/14 the club spent £36m on wages. £5m more than total income other clubs were furious that they had to abide by FFP rulings to avoid sanctions whilst Leicester continued to spend and added player like Mahrez during the season.
  23. Subjective Without Vichais dodgy dealings we wouldn’t have 1 amassed the squad/foundations that we did. 2 even have been promoted
