  1. Clearly it's different for different people. as i suggested, it's possibly an OCD thing for me, some players just hold the dart in a way that seems wrong - i can't explain it better than that, but i'm not just saying it to vindicate my dislike of watching luke hupmhries.
  2. It's not semantics - placing a hand on someone's back isn't the same as pushing them. I can only go on what i saw, it really didn't look like a push, just the defender stretching out an arm and getting his finger tips to his back).. And as i said earlier, if that sort of contact is deemed worthy of a penalty we'll end up with dozens of penalties every game. The ref deemed that whatever contact there was, was reasonable (it's not, as you suggest, that a push must always be considered a foul - there has to be degrees to this kind of contact).
  3. My toilet flushes very nicely, and i appreciate the mechanics of it, but i always close the lid.
  4. No one cares about this - it's just some elitist ego trip.
  5. Much better than last year - besides, so much of what he offers is when he doesn't have the ball.
  6. Worth noting that we're also seeing far fewer teams parking the bus - unsurprising seeing as we beat all of those teams - as a result we're having our defence tested more, whilst giving us more space to attack.
  7. My Evertonian chum suggests that he was never a 'dyche' player, so surplus to requirements.
  8. I didn't think it was a push, just a hand to his back - if that kind of minimal contact is given as a penalty we'll end up with basketball scores. it was certainly far more innocuous than the shove on KDH the other day.
  9. true, but that alone doesn't make them, as suggested, 'comfortably the better side'
  10. Maybe he was just playing it cool, don't want liverpool coming in and snatching more of our talent!
  11. Not sure. I get the feeling they want to, but you never know - some hooey with fees, maybe fatawu get's a better offer
  12. 9 pro-bowlers, it's a hell of a team. I suppose that's another reason why he doesn't deserve MVP!
  13. Just because something functions well doesn't mean it's pleasant to watch....
  14. Or know what order to put words!
  15. Well, i'm glad my multi-year absence made little or no impression on anybody... I 'won the day' 3 times, you know.
  16. You must be about 16 now?
  17. Once. In 17 years.
  18. Though never in Lillestrøm
  19. Question marks? Really?
  20. I am not DavieG, though i do bear an uncanny likeness. I'm also not affiliated with Vålerenga anymore.
  21. Week in Leicester on Tuesday. Believe me it's minus 25 here right now - this will be delicious!
  22. Sure, but was that the reason we missed out on the CL? Just nitpicking, we still should have had enough to hold on...
  23. I feel like the link up between casadei and yunus for the ricardo goal deserves far more conversation. I think there was a lot of doubt about these two, and some optimism that maybe a run together might be all that's needed - well, that's two games in a row they've started and we've scored 7 goals - the pick of them being ricardo's today - really sublime and quick passing. With any luck we'll hardly notice ndidi's absence, so far at least it's not been a problem.
  24. By the same token you could argue that the 49ers are 12-4 when purdy touches the ball There's a very strong argument, and a nice idea, IMO, that they should share it - it's happened before, and let's face it, without either of them the team isn't the same
