The chances of him being ready to start week in week out in the Championship are ridiculously slim. Even at League One or Two level he'd probably not quite be ready to be a regular starter. I think the rot at the club is too deep to pass any kind of judgement so far, or possibly at all if it continues spiralling. However, the decision to make and stick with Ayew as master set-piece taker in spite of clear evidence that he's not any good at them is a bit of a red flag. Akin to Southgate with Kane that summer...

I called the same with Chilwell, Maddison, Barnes & KDH when people were still giving them grief. Also the proven fact of the Faes & Vestergaard ceilings being nowhere close to Premier League level means he should get a chance to prove otherwise.
