  1. Genuine relegation candidates at this point. Their confidence is already shot. How likely are they to cope if the inevitable points deduction drops us into the relegation scrap?
  2. It's not about accepting anything other than what is possible in reality. You either accept that it is not possible to house billions more people or you don't, but reality is still reality. How would you decide how many of the untold billions we can take and which ones? Surely if you accept we could not possibly take them all, then all we are arguing about is where you draw the line and who you turn away?
  3. This. There are 4 or 5 billion people, give or take a billion, in the world whose lives would be materially improved simply by being on benefits in the UK. The idea that the handful of successful people that are still yet to do a runner can afford to pay for them all as well as our own is for the birds. Remove the benefits and incentives from all, but the most necessary cases, institute an element of quality control at the border, and the problem will solve itself. I believe the so-called elites that run the country have realised this privately and have basically annointed Farage as the 'pressure valve' and the person who can row back some of their mistakes without them having to take any responsibility. Hence the apparent C-change with regards to Farage and Reform in the establishment press in the last 12 months or so and why Farage has started to concede on some of the establishment non-negotiables which has led to the more extreme types like Lowe and the Advance UK crowd parting ways.
  4. Free shot in the area again. 🤦‍♂️ Bring back Junior Lewis...
  5. Let's be clear. These are a below average team even at this level. We have just been making them look half decent. At least we're finally creating some chances though 🙏
  6. Their dedication to scoring own goals and marching on towards the next ****up as if nothing happened is almost admirable.
  7. Until the wantaway garbage men are sent out on gardening leave or sent to train with the u23s I can't respect or fully support Marti. The rest of the lads I still do. Even the likes of Winks, who is technically one of the best midfielders in this league, will end up throwing the game like he nearly did yesterday because his head nor heart are in it for anything other than putting himself in the shop window for a move away. We're either going to be shit with a bunch of mercenaries or shit with bunch of hungry young players that will improve and have at least a few starters come to the fore out of them ready to go again in January/next season.
  8. Yeah, he was the straw that broke the fox's back. Wouldn't have hurt to attempt to replace him though.
  9. I doubt anyone could get a tune out of this rabble, but clearly this guy can't.
  10. Yeah, it's not happening for us, is it? Defence somehow gotten worse for the 3rd/4th season in a row and no more Vardy to bail us out up top (or any real attempt to replace him). We are cooked.
  11. Tragic. Barely a man we can rely on in the whole organisation. For Shame Aiyawatt.
  12. Jesus. H. Christ.
  13. Okoli has worse passing than the average keeper. We are in dire straits..
  14. I fear the opportunity will not come. 😆
  15. We've seen enough of Carranza methinks. 🤦‍♂️
  16. Wow, did I pick the wrong day to defend Thomas... 😂 Gerrin Stolarczyk! Let's make it count.
  17. I'm not touching that moody looking link, but yea, he's been pony. His confidence is completely shot and he's not helping himself, but with any competence beside or above him he could still be decent cover and actually good as a fairweather player at least.
  18. Didn't I hear something about shooting practice this week? Have they all got their boots on the wrong feet? FFS! 1 chance, 1 goal shocker...
  19. 1 striker and 1 CB is all we need to walk this league. We might already have the CB in Nelson if we bothered trying him, and at this point I'd be testing Fatawu, Mavididi and Ramsey out as false 9s in training to help us limp through to January.
  20. Thats so bad I had to Google to check the stats are correct 😂 and only 54% of that 16% voted for her... so just over 8% 🤣
  21. Thomas is pretty far down our list of priority problems for me. If he had a Huth-Morgan, level of stable CB partnership beside him he would look like a different player and would at the very least be a competent squad player who still actually wants to be here, which is more than we can say for most.
  22. Is Nelson injured, or are they just taking the piss at this point?
  23. Think she's the one who said grooming gangs were a dog whistle issue? Imagine saying that about our generations Jimmy Saville. Facilitating crimes against working class children is one thing this country still excels at at least...
  24. Yeah, it's getting silly. Don't start me on printers. Hah! I got a HP printer that stopped working and became a brick the second I stopped my ink jet subscription because I hadn't used it in a couple of months and still had too much ink. The way things are going with micro-transactions on absolutely everything now is driving me mad. We are well on the way to owning nothing, but the being happy part is less clear...
  25. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people that have misaligned priorities, buy a nice car before a house, eat out or Deliveroo too much, or whatever, but a large part of that can be explained by doom spending (where the amount they would save by not doing that is so piffling in relation to what they need to move ahead in life that they say eff it and give up, possibly prematurely) and there's also an element of we have always been promised that the next generation will have a better quality of life than the previous, but this is the first generation where that is no longer true and they're struggling to reconcile that. Also like you've already mentioned there is planned obsolescence into everything we buy and the reason there are less people able to fix things and 'make do and mend' is because most new products are protected from outside interference also. For example there are people that have fixed electronics all their life that can't get into an Apple product to fix it or people that have been mechanics all their life that can't even get access to the engine of some new cars. There is a bit of the trying to compare apples with oranges about trying to compare how things worked in the past to how things work now methinks.
