Hendricks in over Walker… and Davis… and Barnes… and even Griffiths. I despair with Nixon’s selections, think he just makes it up as he goes along.
-
If Hendricks gets a run in the RLC then fold the club immediately

Not sure where to post but Bricklayers Arms on Welford Road is reopening. Signs are up in the windows advertising for staff with a phone number (that after a quick Google search shows it being linked to The Hind). I had heard this a long while back and that the owner of The Hind wanted to do African food out of there and also does not like football crowds so it’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

I know for sure that Ben Mike loves it at LCCC. Sadly though, a cricketers career span is very short and the difference in money from LCCC to some other counties is monumental. Ultimately, it isn’t like football where a footballer may be having to choose between 100k a week or 80k a week at a club he likes, this is from 40k a year (at a guess at LCCC) to at a guess, more than double that at another club and career progression and nobody can begrudge any player that opportunity sadly. Let’s see if anyone takes a punt on him anyway. A fine showing the hundred 🤮 and he will have a few suitors i’m sure.

Mulder really showing his worth now. Stepped up in the T20 out of now after the Rutherford disaster class and has now taken that into the red ball. Would also be good to Swindells get a good knock in here. Would do his confidence wonders, there is a player in there I feel but he just seems to have taken a couple of steps backwards since covid interrupted everything.

Development/Youth Squads 2022/2023 Thread - U18/U21
Father Ted replied to Ryy's topic in Leicester City Forum
Went down Aylestone Park tonight to watch them against a select Leicester City XI. Odunze in goal, a real man mountain, pulled off some outstanding saves and really commands his box. Kicking dubious. Deniche Hill, the new signing at left wing back, best player on the pitch for me, he was outstanding and if he can bulk up a little, could be a real prospect. Didn’t think much to the rest. The Thai trialists seemed way off the pace. Fitzhugh very lively when he came on. -
He is listed on the agency that Brendan’s son works for and Bertrand is involved with. If we want him, I imagine we will get him.
-
Outstanding effort from all batsman, however slightly disappointed we haven’t decided to carry on batting. I might be eating my words but don’t see us bowling them out. Even if we did, the points mean nothing to us, but imagine holding the county championship record for most runs. That would have been a huge slap in the face of the rotten ECB. Would have only required another 132 more runs.
-
Would love to have him back here again next year for the Blast but I think a couple of other sides will have their eye on him.
-
He’s going nowhere whilst his agency still employs Brendan’s son…
-
The ECB document is all over the place. A good lawyer would pick it apart. Surely the club could also have argued that the “one year” probation period as you might call it had passed. The incident happened on 1st July 2022. The initials incidents in question had happened up to 1st July 2021 and our suspended deductions was given for a one year period. Unless I have misinterpreted it. Surely we could have argued more of a case with a hardline stance.

Sports Lounge in Oadby is bang on 👍

I’m still f****** raging. **** the ECB. How can such a corrupt shit show happen at this level of a supposed elite sport? I’m disappointed at how soft the club have been too. Should be spitting fire in the statements and strongly condemning the decision. Surely, they are taking legal advice. We should have a very strong case in a court of arbitration against the ECB.
-
He’s not injured…
-
Anyway, who’s bang up for tomorrow 🦊🦊🦊
-
Agreed. He’s bowled really well and dragged us through a couple of matches with the bat. I’d get him back next year for the white ball if it’s an option. As said above though, honking in the red ball. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in September in the red ball if he’s still here.

What a cracking win last night! Puts us in real contention now, yes we need to win the last 2 and hope that somebody else slips up but the opportunity is there now. Genuinely don’t think there are many better bowling outfits than us out there? Parky and Ahmed have wreaked havoc. The win was made all the more sweeter with us Leicestershire contingent shutting the Forest mob up in Fox Road Stand 🦊🤣 “he’s never run 2, that fat b*stard, he’s never run 2”
-
All ifs and buts but we look so much stronger with Mulder at the middle of the order and offering an alternative bowling option, Swindells behind the stumps and with Welch opening. Was having Mulder genuinely never an option instead of drafting Rutherford in 🤢
-
There are plenty of bootcut wearers that loved our demise in the early 2000s and our relegation to League One. And plenty that seem oh so bothered about “football thugs” and “oh he barely touched him, you wouldn’t see rugby players behave like that”. 👍
-
Another win on the cards today? 👀🦊
-
As if the weird p*ss drinkers down the road couldn’t get any more intolerable, yesterday just topped it 🤮
-
Tomorrow night a sell out. Gathering some real momentum now after two huge away wins on the bounce. Foxes Foxes are you ready 🦊
-
Perhaps we could use this to our advantage if Hamish Rutherford is still not out after the first over.
-
Another outstanding win on the road. You can see the players growing in confidence and belief. Naveen, Parkinson, Ahmed and Davis make a very strong core of 4 consistent bowlers that take important wickets too. Something needs to change at the top of the order. Hopefully, Rutherfords “back injury” that stopped him from fielding is serious enough to keep him out for the next month 🤞 We have good batting options in Swindells and Welch who aren’t even getting a sniff at getting into the squad that I’m sure would love to jump at an opportunity.
-
I think that the only person who can’t see that Swindells should be playing is the man who picks the team. Swindells far more consistent with the bat than Lilley for me, I’d rather have someone that consistently picks up 20s, 30s than someone who will hit a 50/60 once every 7 games and is out for single figures in the other 6, alongside being a total liability in the field. Perhaps Nixon likes Lilleys bowling option but with Steel in the side now and Ackermann who is yet to bowl being another option I don’t see the need for Lilley.
