  1. Just as an aside, the proposed ceasefire is between the U.S and Iran. I’m not convinced that Israel is involved in this.. or whether this involves Irans neighbors. I can see a scenerio where Irans continues and maybe even intensifies it’s attacks on Saudi Arabia and UAE and that missiles are maybe fired at or from Israel during the next two weeks…
  2. He’s going to be pushing for the Nobel peace prize again now..
  3. Although it is worth noting that according to federal documents there appears to have been two assassination attempts on his life by people who both claimed they were working with the Iranian government. It’s possibly , amongst other reasons, that these are why Trump seems so invested in the downfall of the current regime in Iran.
  4. I think it’s because there is a leader in charge of some weapons who is saying and doing things very unlike anything we have seen before. He is difficult to predict and appears to be somewhat of a maverick.
  5. It would be a very long and slippery legal slope to prove that it was a war crime. They even imprisoned the CIA agent who spoke up against the torture program, baring in mind that the torture of prisoners had its illegality inshrined in to law as far back as the 1940s.. your life would be effectively over.
  6. But you can their oil…
  7. right. And I think that might be trumps motivation. “ get out there and fight for your freedom” it’s a very American trait and as@leicsmac rightly pointed out also painted with sadism
  8. possibly a “ get out there and overthrow them” mixed in there..
  9. I hate to say it, but I think that’s the point..
  10. Trump will want to check for oil before he decides if he’s interested
  11. oh that definitely happened. Sent ( intended) to some Kurds in Northern Iraq.
  12. right. But Putin as a little more unhinged with his public support and will openly donate ( sell) weapons to quell any dispute. He’d probably make long public speeches about stopping the evil influence of Europe in his support of Orban. Nothing too open and public from the U.S yet. I’d like to think they are busy enough as it is right now..
  13. I highly suspect that Orban will either go down fighting ( he has a lot of friends in their military) or bring some skullduggery into the election process. Or maybe a bit of both. Aided and abetted by Russia of course who I don’t think planned for the waning support of right wing governments across Europe. Right wing sentiment was supposed to be on the rise with a somewhat multi-national propaganda campaign about ‘ naughty & terrible’ immigrants
  14. Right that’s it. I no longer care what happens.. we don’t deserve to stay up. We are simply not good enough.
  15. If we still had Cifuentes, he would have dropped Daka after that…
  16. No they didn’t. He was keeping them above water, badly managed or not. It’s only when the cash flow dried up ( by fans refusing to spend any more money) that he couldn’t pay even the basic of bills. It was a targeted campaign by the fans, a targeted protest and it was very effective.
  17. ? it’s actually the protests and refusal to spend money on match tickets and in the club shop that forced Wednesday into administration and therefore Chansiri out of the club.
  18. This is the game I fear more than any other. Anything other than a convincing win would be shameful.
  19. I really enjoyed that 8th round though. Proper slugfest albeit void of any real talent, but it was like watching a round from a Rocky film. slightly dodgy 10 count on Chisora who looked liked he’d been pushed out of the ring to me… the idea of Deontay v Anthony is an intriguing one as I don’t rate either of them. AJ can’t take a mix it up a little bit but he can not take a punch. It pains me to say it but I’d go for Deontae being totally outclassed for a few rounds and then landing a bomb on him.
  20. Wilder by split decision. Should have been unanimous
  21. The chisora wilder is a very entertaining fight but goodness me, Wilder has absolutely a zero boxing brain. he does things you are taught as an 8 year old - the fake left then right, but he’s got no idea how to use his height and reach advantage. Chisora has the heart of a lion, but all wilder needs to do is back up, jab him and spin him onto the ropes and unload.. just stay busy. He’s not doing any of that. Chisora is an absolute warrior though it has to be said..
  22. Wow big shock that. Thought the Venezuelan was going to win that..good finis
  23. Not sure if anyone is watching the undercard to the wilder - Chisora fight but Bentley is leaving himself wide open to the right hook… he’s dropping his left so much..
  24. He wouldn’t have got there in time. Too high.
  25. Just for the record, that second goal of theirs was NOT Jakobs fault. He’s pulled left to cover that side for the corner when it came in and there were TWO defenders who left the line and that side of the goal unguarded. We actually had 4 defenders in a small area. Watch the replay again and follow the defenders. I hate it when the GK gets the blame for things like that. you can see how the defenders were all looking at each other.. it wasn’t Jakob they were annoyed with 21.. tha was Lascelles wasn’t it? He was the one on the line..
