  1. I haven’t seen any of this series, not even the highlights, but are the batters the whole problem? I saw a stat earlier that, if you took Rashid out, England’s other bowlers combined had a bowling average of 107.
  2. The classic shinned-chip finish.
  3. I mean, possibly, but who do you think is most likely to get the better and worry about the other? An Argentine international with a fair few seasons of first team Prem football behind him or a 15-year-old debutant?
  4. Yeah, sadly there’s definitely an element of us going away from signing young, hungry up and coming players in a way that doomed Stoke and Sunderland before us.
  5. Will you have Jordan or Ayew as your first child’s name?
  6. He wasn’t responsible for the loss. The point is that just throwing them in can destroy their confidence and stall development. Slot presumably felt he had enough on the pitch to win the game so blooded a few youngsters. There’s virtually no games where you can say this season we’ll have enough on the pitch to win and comfortably be able to do that. It’ll probably only happen when we’re mathematically down. For example, there seemed to be a few on the match thread upset that Monga didn’t come on when Mcateer did. He’d have had to spend much of the game tracking back on Garnacho who’s substitution turned the game their way. Slinging on a 15-year-old and telling him to concentrate most on making sure he’s tracking back on their best player on his pro debut would have been a dreadful thing to do to the lad.
  7. Ha. Are you saying he’s the same level as them despite what they’ve achieved?
  8. This post aged like milk. They lost and he got took off at half time. In an ideal world it would be great to have youngsters come in and they be automatically up to the level required. This isn’t an ideal world. You could destroy their confidence if you put them into a struggling side too early.
  9. This, and you’re going to be doing that physical exertion against at least one absolute beast of a man trying to get the better of you for that time as well.
  10. I thought you were insane when you posted that earlier!
  11. Another big thing about this is we won’t have to hear the ‘word’/abomination ‘threepeat’ again for years.
  12. Just run the ball is what the Eagles are going to do now probably. They should really take the piss and put their back up QB in.
  13. And smashed in the face and it doesn’t get called!
  14. Hurts is going to get MVP. Would be great if they gave it to Josh Sweat though.
  15. Would now be biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. Patriots in that got their first TD midway through the 3rd so Chiefs would have to be almost perfect now.
  16. About the first half time show actually wanted to watch and not pissed off because it’s 2am and I’m waiting for the second half. Was decent. All a bit predictable though as you knew SZA and Mustaaaard were going to show up. Was kind of hoping he’d do something to piss Trump off.
  17. They won 11 by one score or less.
  18. Eagles have more points than the Chiefs have yards. Still, at least they’ve stopped Barkley. 🤣
  19. Chiefs only scored more than 20 points once all season didn’t they? If they don’t score here it might be done. Edit- might be 30z
  20. Have the Chiefs tried to run it yet?
  21. Giving such a soft PI call this early sets the officials up for failure as they’re going to have to call everything now.
  22. The guys upset about half time interviews in the football forum will have kittens about weird pre-match interviews after the players have ran out on the pitch.
  23. The investors will do everything they can to make their money back and more.
