He was definitely among the most wanted alongside Moyes.

I hope you’re right but the same could probably have been said in Germany in the 1930s and without delving into the whole history of transphobia/ homophobia, I’m sure many other times.

I tend to stay out too as I have no idea why people get so worked up about it, but why is it ridiculous? History tells us pretty much every minority group that’s blamed for ills in society (Jews most famously, illegal immigrants etc) ends up concentrated in camps.

https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/palestinian-photojournalist-annes-documentary-killed-gaza/ A 23-year-old Palestinian photographer, who is the feature of a documentary about her work in Gaza, had her house bombed just hours after it was announced it would be part of the Cannes film festival. She and nine family members, including a pregnant sister, all murdered.

At least you didn’t burn him. Not sure I could take the sight of his face melting. 🫠 -

Out of interest, is he still there? -
The £650m they’ve put in probably had more of an effect to be honest. They’re not relegation fodder because since the takeover in 2021 they’ve spent a lot of money. Yes they’ve invested wisely, better than Chelsea and Man U (it’s not hard) but it’s still much easier to do with a transfer kitty of the size they had. They partly avoided relegation because they bought Chris Wood off Burnley for an offer the Clarets couldn’t refuse and offered enough money to Kieran Trippier to swap the Champions League for a side in the bottom three. They were also able to make long term investments by offering big money to some of the hottest prospects in Europe such as Tonali who is on £210k a week. That’s one of the investments that’s paying off now, but how you paying those wages?
-
Bit touchy ain’t we? What I’m reading here is money doesn’t always buy success, unless it does. Which it has with Newcastle….. if you define one League Cup as success.
-
Is this a wind up? A sustainable model is get the richest owners in football, spend about £400m in four years and have a wage bill that is about 30 per cent higher than our already higher than turnover setup?

At work and can’t listen, but is Ahmed injured and that’s why Kimber is bowling? -

It may be that the umpires told Derbys to bowls the spinners because of the light. If that is what happened and we declared we’d have to give the new ball to Ahmed and Kimber. It could be just being cautious though. Declaring overnight they’d still need less than four an over, when every team’s gone at a fair bit quicker than that throughout the match. -

Crucial period though. Have to bat well here or Derbys will be favourites. -
Until it crashes into a fiery ball.

I can’t stop laughing at this. Apologies though if you are ITK and this is what the likes of Monga request in the dressing room.

He’s still young and learning, plus you have to have a bit more leniency for any leg spinner. He could have another 10 years development in him at least. Also the hype being on his brother now rather than on him might help him settle down a bit. Not sure he’s an opening bat mind, especially alongside someone like Budinger. Holland didn’t really work in that position last season though. Anyone know how long Patel is out for? -
How much did Chelsea ruin us this season?

Well yeah, that’s what I mean, it’s worse now. Even more terrible at the minute there’s a manager in charge who hasn’t got a clue how to organise them. Maresca would do better than the current shambles but his defensive strategy is keeping the ball, something he obviously would have struggled to do as much as he did for ever game in the Champ. To be fair, we kept as many clean sheets against Prem sides last season as we’ve done this year (1). It’s too small a sample size to say he’d have worked wonders at the back with what we’ve got though. -

I’m not sure what defence you think he would have played and who’d feature more to make them be better than the one that got relegated last time and that had much better attacking players in front of them. -
I feel seen. I almost feel bad but it’s what Hit Me Baby One More Time was about so we were technically groomed.

The San Marino who have scored five in their last four games? We can only dream of reaching those levels. -

Obviously it didn’t help, especially with KDH being our engine room, but it happens in football. It’s fcuk all to do with Chelsea that, once again, our defence was never good enough to stay up. -

This is going to go down in Premier League folklore as one of the worst managerial appointments/spells of all time.
