  1. I don’t think it’s fair to say there’s been a lack of fight on the whole this season. Yes, there was nothing today, but before that, against all the other sides around us, there was plenty of fight. We were unbeaten against those sides until today. No matter how shite we were, at times we fought for, and got, points in those games. Unfortunately the odds are the teams that came up are going to go straight back down once again.
  2. It’s quicker than cooking and you don’t have to wash up.
  3. Entirely possible. Or might have said they’re recalling because of the change of manager. It’s probably natural as a manger you’re more interested in the players that are yours, but as he’s been so far above pretty much everyone it’s a surprise he’s barely been seen.
  4. I completely agree, but it’s on the club if they’ve asked him who he’s bringing with him and he’s not given a firm answer.
  5. Nah, but successive games with 0-0 draws against Arsenal and Chelsea. You’d struggle to predict a 0-0 draw for us against anyone, no matter who is in goal.
  6. If Faes is the answer, what is the question?
  7. Any new manager that comes in is going to use it as a clean slate for all players. Up to Ward to take his chance.
  8. Well no, she’s either guilty or not. If she believes she’s innocent then she’s not going to just do time for the sake of it. The appeal will be whether she is a killer or whether she’s been a scapegoat of a badly run and understaffed department. Whatever that is, it’s incredibly hard for the families involved.
  9. Looked at two stats sites and ours was marginally worse in both. Probably doesn’t include this mauling yet though. It’s quite scary how high the XG for conceding is for the promoted clubs compared to the rest of the division.
  10. Think he previously got more space because sides tried to mark Olise or Zaha before that. There was no way Palace were going to be in the relegation picture. With players like Eze, Sarr, Guehi and Wharton to come back in they have much more about them the rest down the bottom.
  11. The Sir Alex who didn’t have to work with PSR?
  12. Continuing a theme for the season.
  13. What would you expect him to win with a Swedish fourth tier side, Swansea in the Championship and Brighton who had avoided relegation by two points when he joined? The fact he got to that level at all as a complete unknown shows there is something good there.
  14. Depends how you like your corruption. Under the previous regimes there was a vote and bidders went out of their way to bribe those voting then the scrutiny committees meant to stop it. Infantino has basically done away with scrutiny committees and instead engineered it so he can say who he wants has it. For example, miraculously Saudi Arabia had a bid ready to go as soon as the much reduced 28-day period offered to get bids in was announced as well as FIFA’s stipulated conditions for the tournament. They can’t even go with the argument ‘it’s never been to the Middle East’ because it was there last. Part of the reason the whole announcement was done online is so no journalists can ask questions as with previous FIFA announcements. The ‘vote’ was done by clapping! I thought I’d probably see a World Cup in England in my lifetime, but it’s probably unlikely now. It’s been pointed out that the 2038 World Cup (if FIFA keeps its own rules) would have to be in the USA again because of the mess of giving three games to South America in 2030.
  15. By kids do you mean our best player from last year and other £30m plus signings? It’s always the domestic games they moan about, never the fixture congestion created by their collective greed of the wanting mote European games. They’re still moaning even though Brentford have had to bend over backwards to accommodate the fixture on a Sunday night.
  16. When does he want them to play?
  17. And now a £57m defender lets the ball just drop into the net. Get the £80m defender on the bench on.
  18. Ball given away by the £59m debutant defender and then the £50m keeper just lets it in.
  19. Ha ha, 30 shots, most West Ham have ever had in a Premier League game. One of the most ridiculous games I’ve seen, but be all and end all is take the points and build on it. Fair play especially to those who came in and made a difference:
  20. Palace win 1-0 at Ipswich.
  21. Kristiansen looks absolutely fcked. Well the first 90 seconds were good. The big positive is that West Ham are playing in a way that should really benefit us if we’re better with the final ball. A clean sheet looks barely possible though.
  22. It’s literally not forced on him. Hence why he didn’t wear it.
  23. Two things: 1. No shame in losing at Brentford who have the best home record in the Prem. 2. However; to those of you who reckon the players are good enough to comfortably be mid table…jog on. The defence alone is shite.
  24. PSV fans would argue Schmidt did most of the building in the years before Ruud.
